Chapter 2

The past...

Savanah POV

"Savanah!"

I smiled at my friend, who rushed running towards me.

"Hey, Aly! Thus, are you game with our next adventure?" She looked miserable and bit her lip. I realize that her mom didn't let her once more.

"Sorry, Sav, we have a family get-together in 2 days, so I can't accompany you." I grinned at her.

"It's okay," She held my hand.

"Just be cautious, okay?" I gestured at her.

"Okay, see you soon!" I rode my bike along with my backpack.

I chose to go climbing in Mt. Andicia, situated in the humble community of Andelia.

It is an hour's drive, but the path looks like I am traveling in the past because it is a rough road. It's somewhat creepy, but I can't cancel this.

I arrive at the modest community and stop in their little fuel station.

I pay reasonably for the stopping charge of my bicycle and sign in to their little housing.

They seem friendly and not harmful, so I feel comfortable here.

I was drinking my espresso when an older woman unexpectedly showed up outside the restaurant I ate.

It shocks me, yet she gazes directly at me and leaves. I didn't pay attention.

The instructor has given me a guide on the path I ought to follow. He said I should go on the right way and not the left for unknown reasons.

I had already prepared everything, so I organized my camping materials.

They gave me a watch for tracking purposes and ensured I was not a novice explorer.

"Hi!" I smiled at the young lady who welcomed me.

"Hi, lovely," She smiled at me.

"Are you going climbing?" I gestured at her.

She gives me a heart stone.

"For what is this?" I ask her. She just grinned and fled.

I chose to keep the stone since it is uncommon and looks like quartz.

When all was great, I began ascending the mountain.

I strolled for five minutes when I saw the older woman sitting in a tree. Next to it is a little house. I decided to ignore her but-

"Young lady," I pause and face her.

She signals me to go nearer. That's why I do what she says.

She holds my hand; her hand is so cold.

Her eyes unexpectedly become white.

"You are gifted to see what the others can't see, beware and swear to escape the place where they are lurking. It is safe to avoid than to be part but never be involved." Then her eyes turned back.

I grab my hand from her.

"That is no joke," I remarked.

"There are werewolves in there; fate may have a reason behind why you are here." Then she goes into her home.

I have hesitation about ascending this mountain or simply returning. However, this will be the first occasion when I bombed moving up a hill. Then I will tell my friends I can't climb it up because of a crazy old lady.

I shook my head and chose to keep doing my thing.

I play music for me to have the vibe.

Werewolves? I bet she was a fantasy writer before, or she has a great imagination!

When I arrived at the end trail, I fished my guide in my knapsack's pocket; however, I didn't feel it. I chose to look over my things; however, my map was not there.

What the-

I just put it here.

I fished my phone in my pocket. There is no signal.

I chose to go down, yet I think I am lost. There are presently two paths. All I recollect was only one.

What's going on?

I gathered my things and chose to go on the right path.

I stroll for over 30 minutes, and the path is at its end.

Something is off. It ought to be downwards. Why am I making it this far?

Then, reality hit me at that point, and I entered the wrong trail. I should have taken the left path because I turned around!

"Damn it!" I yelled out of dissatisfaction.

I decided to contact the agency, but my wristwatch is also gone!

"No way,"

I suddenly remember the old lady.

Hell no, she is maybe a snatcher, dang it!

I glance around. I'm helpless.

I chose to rest so I could consider what to do immediately.

"There are werewolves in there. Fate may have a reason behind why you are here. " The voice of the old woman continues to play in my mind.

Silly!

I sincerely don't have a clue what to do.

This is not the time to think about urban legends and myths.

I stood up and chose to return, yet I saw an unfamiliar figure behind the shrubs.

I pant.

It's a wolf!

Gracious my,

I feel chilled.

It is pretty much more bigger than the average wolf.

I gradually got my phone and snapped a photo of it. However, my flash distracted it.

My eyes widen because it stands up.

Its jet-black fur looks so shiny, and its golden eyes look mysterious.

It is looking at me. I saw its fangs.

Oh crap,

I run as quickly as possible.

I know it's running behind me.

I didn't think straight and went with the bushes.

I feel a sharp pain in my shoulder to see I hurt myself. However, I am battling for my life!

I, out of nowhere, stopped when I saw two young boys playing.

"Run, boys! Run!"

I looked at the back, and the creature wasn't following me.

I held my shoulder because it struck another pain.

I plunked down and panted for air.

"Are you okay?" The other kid asked me.

"Why are you playing here alone? Go back home before it gets dark."

I whined when he touched my shoulder.

"Alistair! You can't see it hurts!" The other kid yelled.

"I'm sorry." He looks guilty.

"It's alright," I said.

"We should not be supposed to talk to humans, right, Alistair?" They look at each other.

“What are you talking about?" I fished my medical kit.

I gritted my teeth as I removed the stick on my shoulder.

"Humans should not enter this territory." The Alistair boy seriously said it to me.

"Then why are you here?" I ask them, still curing my wound.

"You still don't get it? Because we are not humans." I laughed hard because of what they said.

"Great joke," I remarked.

They take a gander at one another once more.

I sigh. These children think they are legends or some creatures-

I take a look at them.

"What are you?" Their turn to laugh at me like I dropped the greatest joke ever.

"Hello? what's interesting, Alistair and Alexander." They abruptly stop.

"Would you be able to call us once more?" I stand up.

"Alistair and Alexander." I pointed them.

"How would you distinguish us?"

"I don't have a clue. I just know." They look at me, amazed.

"Just our dad can recognize us." The two of them said.

"Impossible. Your mom can do that also." They peered down and began sobbing.

"Our mother died," Alexander said and began crying uproariously.

Alistair does it also, oh no.

"Shh, sorry, babies." I embrace them both, and presently they are crying on my stomach, embracing me. How might I stop them?

"Alexander! Alistair!" I heard somebody yelling.

"They are here!" I yelled back.

I saw an older adult in his suit.

"What did you do!" He yelled and got the twins from me. I felt a sharp agony when they were taken from me.

"I just, I-" I don't know what to reply.

The next thing I knew, enormous wolves encircled us.

"Run!" I said and pushed the older adult and the twins.

"Just run. I'll distract them." I urgently said.

"They are my companions," Alexander said.

"W-what?" Then I saw the wolf earlier slowly approaching me.

"Daddy," They both said.

What in heaven's name?
