POV Amy

I left the bar, the smell of alcohol and sweat clinging to me. Simon’s words still hammered in my mind, and the way his eyes had locked on mine sent shivers down my spine.

The night air felt lighter, even though the confusion in my head refused to fade. I needed a moment, but my destination was clear, I had to see Sara.

When she picked me up at the bar’s entrance, her eyes widened in surprise, disbelief painted across her face.

“Amy? What are you doing here?” She asked, pulling me inside. “I didn’t know you were at the bar. Actually, I didn’t even know you knew the way to one.”

I shrugged, smiling faintly. “Yeah, it seems I’ve been breaking all the rules of my life lately.”

“And why are you here?” she asked, starting the car and heading toward her house. “Is it because of those dinner photos that are somehow already all over the internet?”

“I just needed to think,” I said, not mentioning Simon or the conversation we’d had that night. “I wanted to ask you for a favor…”

  • Reborn to Marry My Ex's Enemy   Chapter 47

POV AmySome weeks had passed. Warren called me almost daily, but I did not answer any of his calls or reply to his messages. I packed my suitcase the following morning and went to our family chalet, a place away from the city where I could be alone for a while.I was not running away from my reality; I was planning my next steps. I was standing on the house’s veranda, with a cup of coffee, listening to the birds sing, when a message from Jackson arrived on my phone.“Sara suffered an accident. I am taking her to the hospital.”The cup slipped from my hand, shattering into dozens of pieces. I immediately ran inside, grabbed my bag, abandoned everything else, and rushed to the car.My heart pounded against my ribs as I tried to return Jack’s call to find out exactly what was happening. I slammed on the brakes on the wet road, almost causing an accident. I stopped the car on the shoulder and let the tears fall.I should have stayed, was my first thought.I knew Sara was not safe with Pe

  • Reborn to Marry My Ex's Enemy   Chapter 46

AmyI took a long bath and lay down to relax. The pain in my legs constantly reminded me of everything that happened. I couldn’t forget Simon and the way everything unfolded.I didn’t know if I could sustain this situation any longer. On the other hand, people pressured me to marry as quickly as possible. In the past, things didn’t happen this way. Why did Warren now want us to rush the marriage?I thought about it until I fell asleep.I had a quick, brief sleep. When I woke up, someone was knocking on my bedroom door. It was Megan, bringing a cup of tea, as if she guessed what I really needed. She set the tray on the bedside table and sat next to me. She watched my face for a few moments before she rested her hand on mine.“I’m fine, Mom, just a little tired.”“I’ve known you since you were born, and I know when things aren’t right.” She squeezed my hand lightly before pulling away and ending the touch. “Something is different about you, Amy, and I think everyone has noticed.”My fac

POV SimonThe way Amy looked at me the last time made my eyes sting. I did not move; I did not even say anything to justify myself. I let her go and think whatever she wanted about me.Not only that, but I wanted to fight Vicente for saying those things to her right after Amy gave herself to me, but no one could know that the two of us had been together.“Amy is acting strange, don’t you think?” Vicente commented again as soon as we got into the vehicle. “This plan to ruin Warren does not make any sense to me. Just a few months ago, this woman was in love with her fiancé. Why does Amy want to get rid of him now?”“The best thing you can do is keep your mouth shut. Vicente, you have talked too much nonsense for today.”I started the vehicle and floored the gas pedal. Jackson sat in the back of the SUV in silence, listening to the entire conversation without offering an opinion. He had spent too much time away from the country, so he was the last person to say whether Vicente’s opinion

  • Reborn to Marry My Ex's Enemy   Chapter 44

AmyMy head was spinning as I set foot inside the house. Vincent’s words raced through my mind non-stop, preventing me from thinking clearly. My chest burned, and my body pleaded for a shower so I could eliminate any trace and memory of Simon from me. I felt offended knowing he needed a prostitute after being with me, which clearly signaled I hadn’t satisfied him in bed.I slid my hand along the staircase when murmurs echoed throughout the house. Not only that, but I recognized that voice, that laugh. I closed my eyes tightly as heels clicked on the marble, coming toward me. I didn’t want another long conversation, especially not with Alice and Grace.“Dear Amy, it’s good you returned.” Alice wore a presumptuous smile of forced happiness that sent shivers down my spine.“I am sorry, Alice, but I don’t have time to talk right now; I need a shower and some painkillers.”I didn’t even look her in the eyes; my feet moved to the next step until Grace’s hand brutally pulled me, causing me t

  • Reborn to Marry My Ex's Enemy   Chapter 43

POV AmyThe pain in my legs as I walked to the vehicle constantly reminded me of what I had done. Strangely, I felt no regret inside me. On the contrary, my body craved more.I looked at the place where I stood and remembered Simon. His hands glided over my body, the cold ran down my stomach, and pleasure dominated my mind. I needed to close my eyes to dispel these thoughts.I promised myself I would give my virginity only to the man I loved and who would spend the rest of his life with me. In the past, I chose Warren, and that became the worst choice I had ever made. Years of regret, pain, and frustration followed. I was constantly humiliated because I was inert and weak in bed. With Simon, things were different. In his arms, I truly felt desired in a way Warren never made me feel. I knew only an agreement existed between the two of us, but we broke the established boundary.“Amy, what are you doing here?” Jackson’s familiar voice invaded my ears, and I jumped, startled. When I looke

  • Reborn to Marry My Ex's Enemy   Chapter 42

POV SimonI never imagined desiring Amy Romano, not once in my life. The newspapers were right about me; I could have any woman I wanted, but I did not take them by choice. I was neither a womanizer nor a gallant charmer, even though I loved the position and the power it had given me.With Amy, it was different.Since the night of the accident when my car hit hers and I saw her bleeding, I wanted to protect her. I looked at her differently, and this kept pounding in my head uninterrupted, without my being able to control it.She said she would be my woman, that she would leave Warren to marry me. At first, her words just sounded provocative and nonsensical in my ears, and I played with her for as long as I could, until she involved me in her crazy plan, and I fell like a fool into her manipulative game.I had no idea why I was doing that, and Amy had not explained much to me, but I became more and more involved, always seeking to know every detail of her life. I watched her steps, spe
