Ethan

Dawn moved fast. Her heels clanking against the marble, her face twisted like Kate's words were some kind of abomination.

"Why?" she snapped. "Mom, why?"

Her voice cracked on the last word. For a second, it almost sounded like pain.

"You want me to marry someone who's still obsessed with Liora?" She threw a bitter laugh over her shoulder.

"Wow. Matchmaking now? That's your new hobby?"

Kate didn't flinch. She never did. She turned to me instead, brushing off Dawn's rant.

"Think about it, Ethan," she said smoothly, like she was pitching a business deal. "It's a win for everyone."

She turned to Dawn, then to me, eyes glittering like a cat sizing up her prey.

"You get Liora back. Dawn gets..." She paused, that sly smile curling on her lips. "Never mind. And I get peace of mind."

I stared at her.

"You're sick," i muttered, voice barely above a whisper. But it was enough.

Kate stepped closer, her silk robe whispering as she moved. Her faint but familiar perfume stirred something ugly

Liora Good morning, beautiful. I hope you had enough rest. I would love to see you again.Caspian’s message was the first thing I saw when I picked up my phone. His words glowed softly on the screen, polite but heavy with something unspoken.I stared at them for a long moment, thumb hovering above the keyboard before I sighed and locked the screen.I wasn’t ready to reply. Not yet.I slipped out of bed, tied my robe, and went downstairs. The air smelled faintly of roasted coffee and lilies. My eyes drifted towards a large bouquet placed on the dining table.Beside it lay a small folded note, and I didn’t have to guess who it was from.I picked up the note, and a slow smile tugged on my lips as I read the message in his familiar, clean handwriting. You mean everything to me, kitten. And I’m sorry about last night. My chest softened. That was Damien. Dangerous but sweet, and when he said sorry, he said it with all of his heart and I love how it makes me feel. Before I could overthink i

Damien I was halfway through a boardroom call when I got a text message from Smith.“She’s not alone.” She’s with Caspian Voss.Caspian Voss….?That was enough to end the meeting.I checked her location and drove towards there immediately. When I stepped into the new restaurant, with its gleaming marble, low golden lighting, and soft echo of money, I already knew who owned the place and the kind of man he was.Smith already briefed me on everything I needed to know about him on my way here. But none of that prepared me for the sight of them. When I stepped into the restaurant, everything inside me went still.Liora sat there, sunlight touching her skin through the tall glass windows, a soft glow wrapped around her. She looked alive in a way I hadn’t seen in months. Too alive.Across from her sat Caspian Voss, leaning in, sleeves folded up like he’d personally built this place with his bare hands. And his eyes were locked on her like he had every right to adore her.I’d done business

Liora Damien’s presence towered, dark suit, his jaw clenched like he wanted to shatter something. He looked at Caspian first.A silent evaluation, strength recognizes strength, and Power measures power. Then his eyes found mine and everything inside him sparked.Possessive, Dangerous, Unbothered by hiding it.“Kitten,” he said, voice quiet but dripping with territorial claim. My pulse jumped.Caspian rose to his feet, politeness smooth and effortless.“Damien Grayson. I’ve heard much about you.”Damien didn’t take his offered hand, he just stared.“That makes one of us,” he replied, tone like ice poured over flame.Oh no. I quickly stepped in.“Damien, this is Caspian Voss. We knew each other from high school, he owns this beautiful restaurant.”Thank you, Caspian whispered.Damien’s eyes flicked to mine, he wasn’t angry, but definitely not pleased.Caspian’s voice stayed warm, unbothered.“Liora’s taste is exceptional. She’s been helping me try some menu highlights.”Damien’s expres

Liora By noon, the walls started to feel a bit too quiet. Like silence reminded me of things I wasn’t ready to think about.I slipped into a simple cream dress that hugged the right places and let my hair fall in soft waves over my shoulders. Just enough glam to make me feel like I owned my world again. I took one of Damien’s cars yes, that man has way too many cars, and headed out to the new restaurant a few blocks from the estate. The interior was stunning, with neutral beige tones that created a calm atmosphere, perfectly complemented by sleek gold details that added a refined, modern touch.Soft jazz dancing around the room like a secret invitation.I picked a table by the window, the sunlight glazing my skin like honey. The waiter brought sparkling water, and I ordered something delicate. My body needed calm, because my mind wasn’t giving me any.As I waited, I looked outside. People are hurrying. Couples laughing. Life is slowly moving. And I sat still enough to feel… everythi

Liora“Please… just make sure he’s comfortable,” I said softly into the phone, my fingers tightening around the edge of the kitchen counter. The nurse assured me as she always does that my father was fine. But my mind is still not settled. My stepmother still visits loudly reminding everyone how miserable she is married to him. A cruel woman with Cruella’s tongue. I wish I could ban her from breathing the same air as him, but she’s still the legal wife. And I’m still the powerless daughter.I hung up, breathing out slowly.A new hobby. That’s what I need. Something soft. Something about me. The gun range life isn’t in my hands. I had imagined maybe I could fit into Damien’s world. But maybe… he can meet me halfway in mine. That was when I heard him, the steady, confident sound of Damien’s footsteps threading down the hallway. Calm. Calculated. Every step was a reminder that he owned the space around him.He paused in front of me, dark eyes searching.“You seem distracted.”His knuckle

DawnWhen Ethan’s car pulled in, I checked my reflection one last time.Red satin. Soft waves in my hair.Perfume was only noticeable if he was close enough to breathe against my neck.I glided into the kitchen just as he opened the door. His steps faltered the second he saw me, a subtle pause, a quick intake of breath.Good.“Welcome home,” I purred, leaning casually against the counter, pretending I wasn’t waiting for that exact reaction. His gaze traveled, slow and hungry.“You look… breathtaking,” he murmured, trying to play it cool but failing miserably.I pushed off the counter, walking toward him with lazy confidence.“I thought you deserved a special night. Especially after I left you alone in the house.”He dropped his keys. I could tell he wanted to reach for me but food came first. His stomach growled loudly enough to make him laugh.“I see you made my favorite,” he said, inhaling the aroma.I poured him wine and sat across from him. He tried a bite, eyes closing like he’d
