Bind by the System

After drinking a little too much at the reception of their wedding, Agatha's now-husband, Jerome, picked her up and brought her home to their apartment. A little time later when she finally came to her senses again, she forced open her eyes, holding back an excruciating headache.

The room was dimly lit. As her vision cleared she could make out the figure of a man and a woman kissing passionately. They are on her bed, in front of her!.

“What the h…”

She shouted inside her head, but before realizing who they are, she heard them whispering to each other as if they were afraid of waking her.

"Stacey, stop messing around, Agatha only just fell asleep!"

"What? Are you afraid that your little wifey will wake up?"

"You just tied the knot today. You will be hers forever, anyway. So why don't you give yourself to me this one last time?"

"Babe, you are such a troublemaker, let's go to the other room."

It’s Jerome and Stacey!

Like being struck by lightning, Agatha looked at the two in shock as they continued to kiss by her bedside. Stacey apparently didn’t want to go to another room, but Jerome persuaded her with a kiss. The two are too focused on each other that they didn’t notice Agatha is awakened.

Finally, the two went to the bathroom to continue their unclosed cheating, leaving Agatha all alone by herself.

This is the first night of their marriage, Agatha thought. Who would have thought, the man she just said I do on that same morning would be cheating right in front of her once nighttime arrived?

Agatha tightened her hands into a fist as she held back her emotions - careful not to let out a sound. It was not until she heard the moaning sounds of the couple coming from the bathroom did she feel her world had fallen apart.

She wanted to confront them, shouting in front of them and making them pay for what they did to her. But she can’t gather the strength to get up–the cheating couple was once the only connection to this world she had before the wedding, and she even dreamed of their life as neighbors when they got old. How can this be true?

“I must be drunk.”

She murmured to herself.

“I’m such a coward,”

Her lips curved to satirize herself, she is just so weak that she can’t even confront a cheater when they cheat in front of her.

Tears burst out from her eyes, but she didn’t make any noise. Instead, she gets up silently and picks up her phone to take photos of all the evidence around her.

She doesn’t know how to use this photo, but she just didn’t want them to get away from this. When she heard them about to leave, she faked a sleep mode.

Turns out Stacy managed to persuade Jerome to leave his bride on their wedding night. Before nudging the man's chest outside, Stacey sauntered over to Agatha.

Leaning over with a cold smile, she whispered to Agatha like a paranoid,

"Agatha, I'm not going to let you and Jerome live your happily ever after. I'm pregnant, he's mine!"

She knew Agatha was awake!

Agatha’s eyes widened, a shout was about to burst out but something had stopped her.

It was Stacy, she used a handkerchief to cover Agatha’s mouth.

The next thing she knew, her world already started spinning. Her sight was getting blurry as well

On her last sight, she saw something like two empty bottles of bleach on the bathroom floor, but it was too vague that she can’t recognize…

The next day, breaking news announces the death of the heiress of Moore Enterprises.

“It was such a loss…” Said Jerome, the newly-widowed groom.

This is the end of a miserable girl’s life, yet a brand new start in her new life…

A mechanical voice resounded inside the unconscious girl's head.

"Target locked in!"

"System stabilization underway."

"Initiating connection. In 3, 2, 1....."

Unluckily, although the girl is not dead yet, she is too weak to hear those voices. After a long mechanical beep so much like the sound of a blow horn, the system seems to have given up and a different, more manly voice swapped the mechanical one.

" Damn, how come I always got these kinds of hosts? Loading Safe Mode for now."
