* Chapter 4 : Thief *
Jasmine gasped. " That is my bracelet "
"I told you sister, she is no good " Jasmine sister spoke up as her face contorted in disgust.
Was she the only one who saw how evil this Lucia was!
George Lawrence who had quiet for a while, waved his dismissively.
" Forget about that nuance.Let me get my real daughter married first then deal with her"
Lucia begged once more instead one of the guards placed tape on her lips. Then carried her downstairs and dropped her on the floor then called the police.
The doors opened this time with silence. They all heard what was going on outside and Lucia had been exposed. The music began and the bride's father accompanied her down the Isle.
However, Jasmine was having mixed feelings. She only stayed to proof Lucia wrong because Lucia had did the same in the past and she found out later but still forgave her.
Jasmine sighed heavily, she was truly a softer in her last life. How did she find it easy to forgive all Lucia's doings in her last life?
Then again in her past life, three years later from now Lucia married Keith. At the time she hated Keith so much that she almost stopped their wedding. Also, because Lucia said he forced her to marry him.
The music stopped bringing Jas back to the present. She stood between the priest and Keith. He looked stern but still incredibly handsome.
What was happening? Why did she get lost anytime she looks at him? Was she doing the right by marrying this man in order to have her revenge on Lucia. She swallowed hard and heard the little sermon by the priest.
" I do "she heard Keith say.
It was now her turn. Jasmine had cold feet's she wanted to run out there. How could she marry him? Was this not the same way it started and she ended up marrying that monster. What if it ended the same way with? The heart in her chest began pounding heavily, thoughts of what to do were scattered everywhere.
Jasmine held the hem of her gown when she saw her mother at the entrance. Everywhere became still like time was frozen.
" Mom! What should I do? " she inquired jerking her shoulders.
Mrs Lawrence smiled the continued " The opposite of what you did in your past life "
She understood, Jasmine nodded. Everything began moving once more.
Then Keith bending a bit whispered in her ear. " If you do not want to push through with this, nothing is stopping you too. I will not force you "
Tears found their way again in her eyes. How could she be so blind?
" Do you Miss Lawrence take Mr Yates in lawful matrimony-- "
" I do" she replied without letting the priest finish his sentence. Slowly she pushed the ring on his finger.
The expression on Keith's face was priceless. Saying he was not shocked? Is a giant lie. He stared at the girl by him who repeated everything the priest said so obediently.
" I now pronounce you man and wife " the congregation stood up and clapped. Petals of flowers fell from the ceiling to the couple.
Jasmine jerked in surprise, lifting her palms so they could fall on it. A smile curled on her lips unintentionally. The crowd whistled throwing them petals of flowers.
One person in the crowd stood. " Kiss "
The priest flicked his head out of his forgetfulness. "You may now kiss your bride "
Jasmine face became red. She stared at Keith.
Using his eyes he asked if he could kiss her and she reluctantly blinked softly. He took a step and raised up her veil, holding the back of her neck he pecked her lips.
Jasmine stood still appalled, Linda who was standing by Jasmine side, pushed Jasmine a bit and the kiss intensified as her lips were on his. The crowd clapped and doves were released.
" Vows " another person from the congregation reminded the priest.
" Oh right " the priest was old so he forgot some things. Anyways he was the priest of the Yates family.
Everyone never expected the great Keith Yates to have a vow ready. He stared at Jasmine with his lips slightly raised up.
" Give me your hand, and I will give you forever. You will never know sadness. Just trust me"
It was so emotional that women took their husbands hands. On the other hand Jasmine stood teared up, those short words could make her so happy. She hugged him unconsciously.
It was now her time. A vow she had wrote for Carl but they ended up signing sheets of papers rather than a real wedding. It made her sad, thankfully she could remember each and every word she began swearing in her heart to give this marriage her all.
"You love me in love and complete me in ways I never knew possible. From this day forth, I promise to listen to you and learn from you, to support you and accept your support. I will celebrate your successes and mourn your losses as though they were my own. I will love you, my husband, and rejoice in your love for me for all of the years of our lives till my death "
Keith gaped at his wife in shock. Did she really say those words?
Was she not the same girl who appeared in his house this morning with a knife and rope asking him to kill her for it made no difference, since she would die after marrying him. Despite all his efforts she slit her wrist, thankfully he stopped or else the cut might be deeper and now she was confessing her love in front of all this people.
Perhaps it was a new plan of hers. He stared at her skeptically but she seem too be lost in thoughts. He had taken noticed of her spacing out now and then.
" Did you two have a fight? Is that why you married me?" she heard him ask.
This did not come as a surprise to Jasmine. She gaped at the extraordinary man whose face enlarged as he came closer. They were now leading the joyous crowd out of the Church.
He looked at her expectantly.
" No. I meant everything I said. I decided to give you a chance because I know you love me. Am I right?" her eyes shone while looking up to him.
Keith took her hand and stared at her deeply. " Ever since that they day you threw paint on my car "
This made Jasmine chuckle as recalled that day.
Chapter 103: The end At one point, Tatiana was going to end Jasmine's life. As she got closer, a strange force knocked her to the ground faster than the speed of lightning. It was the same power that attacked her before. Like an electric shock. She looked over with a grunt. Her eyes were blazing like fire. " You!" She rushed to attack him, but he fought back with a staff with a sword on the other end. Liam? She launched a plodding attack on his skull. Liam quickly dodged her. A swift shove from Liam on the Fae's chest had little impact. She made a cut at him but missed. Above his blade, the finger-like claws pierced the air. It flickered in and out, low and high, like the tongue of a serpent. That continued for what seemed like a very long time. They moved in both directions. Lucia caught up to Jasmine, who was running away, after noticing that Tatiana was preoccupied and about to lose. She pulled her back down the stairs by grabbing her by the hair. "You
Chapter 102: Finally Revenge "Tatiana?" Muttered Jasmine, shocked. She shook her head helplessly. "The one and only," The Fae grinned. "That day, Carl didn't kill just you. I was hiding in the bushes, recording everything. I can't believe I felt bad for you. Carl made me accuse your father of raping me, and your sister was killed by me. She didn't commit suicide." Taken aback by this confession. Jasmine blinked. Her sister's death was always a mystery to her. She had thought over and over what would make her sensible sister kill herself. And it turned out to be this bitch who caused it. Tears brimmed in Jasmine's eyes. "Why did you do it?" ____
Chapter 101: Basement Killer The party was almost over when Jasmine's phone pinged inside her jacket. It was from a private number. She looked at the message, then her eyes searched for Sydney. Private Number: [If you're interested in knowing the truth, come meet me in the basement alone.] Basement? It meant the person had arrived. Jasmine ran a hand into her hair. She walked over to Sydney, pulling her past people. Now they were alone. "Any news on the car?" "The owner said it was just returned; nothing was stolen and the car was intact. It seems the person only wa
Chapter 100 One day you will be back. Fae walked closer to the kid, about to feast on him with her claws. As she got closer, a strange force knocked her to the ground faster than the speed of lightning. While back at the party, Jasmine watched her sister talk to her friend with happiness. Linda seemed very happy. It made her wonder what would have caused Linda to commit suicide in her past life. No matter how much she investigated, she failed to find anything. Suddenly,an arm slid its way around her waist, holding it firmly. Her body reacted by tensing up, but she relaxed after inhaling his familiar scent. "You know it won't kill you to smile." She teased him, feeling his body linger on hers from behind. He would play the Ken character more with a smile. But her husband
* Chapter 99 Time to put an end to you* A young woman in an asymmetrical red jumpsuit pulled out the cab. She had black, wide-set eyes and waist-length, silky chestnut-brown hair. Before rapping on the massive gate, she gave the driver his tip. Linda suspiciously scanned the area as she knocked on the penthouse's main doors, looking for any indications of a surprise party. But there was silence. perhaps too quiet. The door was later opened from the inside. Instead of Jasmine or Aunty Fe, she was surprised to encounter her moody brother-in-law. He wore jeans and a green shirt with plaiting. He was unassuming, but he was extraordinarily handsome. His bulk obstructs her path. Linda was an introvert as opposed to Jasmine, who was outgoing. She clumsily waved at the enormous
* Chapter 98: Lucia's Free // * Lucia was free. Jasmine could not help but gasp, her breathing becoming erratic. She flung a hand into her hair in utter distress. Taking several deep breaths, Jasmine quickly got into her car. After everything she did to get Lucia implicated, she managed to get herself free. How? Should she call Aunt Fe to ask? Immediately, Jasmine shook the idea out of her head. Aunty Fe was probably celebrating at the moment, and she did not like to stop that by asking questions. By this time, her phone had vibrated in her pocket, and on the screen, a name flashed: ' Dearest sister'.
* Chapter 97 Match Maker* A red Audi drove by—another false alarm. At least that was what Jasmine thought before it stopped at the end of the street. A young, handsome fellow hopped out, clothed in a Gucci suit. Deep brown eyes and pink dyed curly hair His locks were tied in a ponytail, making him seem feminine. "Finally your here." Jasmine huffed, tucking her black shades into her hair. She had been waiting for him for over four hours by the palm tree, as told. "I was teaching you patience, darling." He mocked flipping his hair, showcasing his gold molars. Opening the car,he grabbed a yellow file. This got Jasmine focused; she eyed him as he flipped open the pages wearing an uninterested grin. Now that he was sure
* Chapter 96 Last Night said otherwise.* The first rays of sunlight lit up my room. The dawn chorus of melodic birdsong drifted in. As the sun reflected on Jasmine's face, she winced in disapproval. A hand rose, blocking the sunlight from hitting her face. Seeing her smile in satisfaction, his lips curled. She cuddled sweetly with him. "Good morning, sleeping head, he whispered, placing a kiss on her forehead. The warmness of his lips on her forehead woke Jasmine. As they exchanged glances, Jasmine grimaced as she held the duvet to her bare chest. She was mad at herself for giving her body to him so easily. He might think she was cheap. "Good morning, beautiful," he
*Chapter 95: Do I still have a husband?* After declining all invitations to a celebration from relatives and friends. After visiting her mother's grave, Jasmine went home. She tried contacting the mystery caller more than a hundred times, but it was futile because it was a private number. She had dreams about her mother that night, many of which were flashbacks to when she was still alive. A day later. The phone had already begun to ring as she settled down to read. As she removed the phone from the table, she muttered an expletive. She looked at the caller ID and snapped. She left it back where it had been and let the bell ring. But when the ringing grew more frequent
