The sun was beginning its descent below the horizon. The sky was turning into shades of orange and pink. It was quiet. Shana was leaning against the couch while Dennis was sitting beside her. He gently ran his hand through Shana's hair.

"Are you still mad?", asked Dennis quietly.

Shana looked down and sighed. She nodded silently.

"I'm sorry", she mumbled.

"Don't apologize", Dennis whispered.

Shana stayed silent and remained still. She continued watching Dennis running his fingers through her hair. She could feel herself getting sleepy.

"Sleep", Dennis whispered again.

She slowly lowered her head onto the couch and fell asleep.

The next morning, Shana and Dennis go to the police station to give Mr.Martinez a picture of Erik.

"What can we do?" asked Shana.

Mr.Martinez was busy typing away at his keyboard. He turned to face Shana and Dennis, " I'll ask my subordinates to get some of our old files and search for Erik".

They entered the room and closed the door behind them.They waited until a nurse walked in with a clipboard to take their names and ask them about their injuries. "Sir, your wife is stable. We gave her some sedatives to help her with the seizures. She is still unconscious at the moment but the doctor said that we should monitor her to see when she wakes up. We also brought some blankets so she won't get cold when she wakes up" replied the Nurse.It was a few hours before Shana regained consciousness. The first thing she noticed when she woke up was that her throat was parched. She rubbed her dry lips and blinked multiple times trying to clear away the sleepiness.
