A short amount of days passed and Shana and Dennis were beginning to lose hope. Their searches hadn't produced any results nor had anyone else been able to identify Erik or his friends. The two of them were starting to give up and think that the best thing they could do to protect each other is wait for them to come for them. Both of them had decided that they would stay together during those times in order to ensure that nothing happens to each other. It wasn't necessary; however, it was nice to have some kind of reassurance. Shana had begun working on the computer and had started to search through the web searching software. She wanted to find a connection between Erik and Bethany. She kept on asking Dennis whenever there was a chance.

She had also searched through newspapers and magazines searching for any possible news stories or reports about Erik. But no such articles appeared, so she began to focus on other things.
