Chapter 33

Shana sat cross-legged on the chair on the balcony, waiting for Dennis to finish with his studies for his new role. She looked up to the sky and watched clouds rolling past each other.

"It looks beautiful here".

Shana sighed. She placed the magazine on the table and turned around. As she observed the landscape around her, she smiled. She was enjoying the peace of the secluded garden behind the apartment. The trees surrounded her but did not touch the garden. The bushes were tall but not so tall that they would cause branches to fall down or even obstruct her view. Birds were chirping loudly; making the scene seem quite peaceful. The weather was nice today.

"Shana?", Dennis headed to the balcony and greeted.

Shana rose to meet Dennis. He held a small box with a bouquet inside it.

"For you", Dennis smiled.

"It's a mix of red and purple hydrangeas", he said as he passed her the bouquet.

"Thank you" Shana took the flowers from him.
