Vienna’s POV

The next few days, I did everything I could to avoid Raphaël. If I heard his footsteps in the hallway, I ducked into my room or left the apartment altogether. I spent every spare moment with Zanele, Fred, and Harold—anyone but him.

I tried calling Bella. Again and again. Morning, noon, night. Voicemails. Texts.

But she never answered. Not once.

Then, one afternoon, as I arrived back at the apartment after a long day wandering Paris with Fred, there she was. Standing right outside the door.

"Bell?" I froze, heart stuttering in my chest.

She turned slowly at the sound of my voice. "V…"

Her face was pale, her eyes red-rimmed and puffy. She looked… wrecked. I dropped my bag and rushed to her, throwing my arms around her.

"Oh my god, what happened?" I whispered, clutching her tighter. "Come on. Let’s get you inside."

She didn’t resist as I ushered her through the door and into the warm, softly lit apartment. Thank god Raphaël wasn’t home.

I set her down on the couch, wrappe

  • Regretful Heart: CEO's Tears Over Her Pregnancy   Chapter 174 - Back to Reality

Warren’s POVOn the plane back home, I felt hollow. Absolutely fucking hollow. My body ached with exhaustion. And my chest—God, my chest—felt like someone had scooped out everything inside and shattered it.Vienna had ridden off into the night, with him. Not just any guy. That guy. That sleek, helmeted asshole had swooped in like some kind of twisted, leather-clad guardian angel. And she’d taken his hand. She’d chosen him. When I closed my eyes, I could still see her. The moment she’d stepped under the glow of the streetlamp for just a heartbeat, her hair blowing gently in the wind. She looked… ethereal. Radiant. Her belly round with the life we’d created together. And yet… she didn’t want to raise that child with me. So much was clear now.I shifted in my seat and glanced sideways. My father was snoring softly in the next pod, reclined like royalty with a blanket up to his chest.I tried to distract myself. Flicked through the in-flight entertainment, hoping for anything to drown the

  • Regretful Heart: CEO's Tears Over Her Pregnancy   Chapter 173 - One Touch Away

Vienna’s POVMy heart pounded in my chest as I pressed myself against the cold stone pillar of the bridge, hidden in the shadows. My breath came in shallow bursts. Just a few feet away, Warren stood in the golden pool of light cast by a streetlamp, turning in frantic circles."Vienna? Are you there?" he called out softly. Desperately.I wanted to scream at myself. Why did I come here? This was a mistake. A huge one.The moment his eyes had met mine across the bridge—just that fleeting, soul-piercing second—I’d changed my mind. This wasn’t worth my time or energy. It would just be more drama. I couldn’t deal with this right now.I’d turned away, disappearing into the darkness. I didn’t even think. My body just… moved.I couldn’t let him back into my life. Not even for a minute. I couldn’t betray myself like that. I had fought too hard to become the woman I was now. I couldn’t throw it all away for one conversation.Warren ran a hand through his hair, his voice low and angry. "Damn it.

  • Regretful Heart: CEO's Tears Over Her Pregnancy   Chapter 172 - The Bridge

Warren’s POV"Do you think it worked?" I asked my father as we sat side by side in the backseat of the taxi.Earlier that morning, just as I’d been about to step into the bakery, a sudden idea had struck me like lightning. I’d frozen mid-step, heart pounding.I’d backed up slowly, out of view of the front window, and pulled out my phone."Hey, Dad," I said as soon as he picked up. "I need your help. Can you meet me at the bakery?"There was a pause. "The one you’ve been pacing in front of the past three days?"I smirked, despite the knot in my stomach. "Yeah, that one. It’s open today. I—I have a hunch she might be in there. But I don’t think going in guns blazing is the right move."Elliot let out a thoughtful breath. "Alright. What’s the plan?""We need to play it casual. Just two tourists grabbing breakfast. I’ll talk about her like I don’t know she’s anywhere nearby. Like I’m still searching."He chuckled. "You always were dramatic."Twenty minutes later, we’d entered the bakery to

Vienna’s POVI stood frozen, heart pounding against my ribs. My mind raced. Should I run? Hide? Freeze? Then I heard another voice. Deeper, calmer. Was that… Elliot?Like a moth to flame, I drifted toward the kitchen door. I leaned in, cautiously peeking through the small round window. There they were. Warren and his father. Sitting at the exact same table where I’d had my first Parisian breakfast. The table where I’d once dreamed of a new beginning. My breath hitched."Shit, shit, shit," I whispered, ducking back behind the door. "What do I do?"I could barely hear over the rush of blood in my ears. But then, their faint voices reached me."I'm so sorry we haven't found her, son," Elliot said gently. "I know it was your only wish this Christmas.""Yeah," Warren replied, his voice lower than I remembered, wearier. "All I wanted was to tell her I still love her. That I always will. But it’s our last day in Paris. The chances of finding her today are slim.""Let’s at least have an authe

  • Regretful Heart: CEO's Tears Over Her Pregnancy   Chapter 170 - Rising Heat

Vienna’s POVWhen the bakery reopened, it felt like a breath of fresh air after days of suffocating tension. I finally felt like I had purpose again. Something other than just sitting around hiding.Since finding out Warren was in Paris, I hadn’t stepped outside once. I couldn’t bring myself to. Every time I thought about leaving, my chest tightened and my legs refused to move.It was almost like I could feel Warren circling, like a wolf sniffing for a way in.Thankfully, my friends kept me sane. Every day, they dropped by the apartment to check in. They brought food, made tea, filled the silence with easy laughter. It helped, but the anxiety still lived under my skin.Things between Raphaël and me were… awkward, to say the least. Ever since that almost-kiss, we hadn’t spoken about it. Not once. He was polite, warm even, but there was a distance. A charged silence that grew heavier every time we were left alone in the same room. Thankfully, that rarely happened—one friend or another w

  • Regretful Heart: CEO's Tears Over Her Pregnancy   Chapter 169 - The Bakery Stakeout

Warren’s POVWhen Noah’s taxi pulled up to a small, ivy-framed bakery in Montmartre, I leaned forward in my seat. Noah stumbled out. He rang a back doorbell with the kind of confidence that only came from familiarity—or too much whiskey.I handed the driver another generous tip. "Merci. That’s all I needed."The winter air slapped me as I stepped out. I turned up my collar and walked closer to the storefront. A vintage wooden sign above the entrance read ‘La Praline Célestine’.The windows were dark, shutters closed. A tasteful handwritten sign on the door read:"Fermé pour les vacances de Noël.Closed for Christmas break."I clenched my jaw and stepped back from the window. But then I caught it—a glow. Warm light spilling from a second-floor window above the shop. I backed up along the cobblestone sidewalk until I found the right angle. There. A flicker of movement.A Christmas tree stood tall in the corner of the living room, its twinkling lights casting soft gold across the art-fil
