Chapter 7 Elliot Patton

No one picked up the phone.

Jeffrey frowned and muttered softly, “What is that brat up to now?”

He switched to another number and finally, someone answered. The old man spoke quickly. “Hey, I’m at the intersection of Parkson Road. Come pick me up.”

After he hung up, he looked at Sophia and asked, “Young lady, how do you know how to perform acupuncture at such a young age?”

Sophia smiled and replied, “My grandfather and ancestors have been practicing medicine for generations. I learned it from a young age because of them.”

Jeffrey nodded, “That’s very good. So, where do you work?”

She thought for a moment and said, “Let’s say I work at Eden Hospital.”

“In the Traditional Medicine Department?”

She smiled, “You could say that.”

Jeffrey was a little surprised. “You’re very talented, young lady.”

Sophia chuckled, “Not really. I just happen to know this skill. Look at all the people on the street. They’re all dedicated to their jobs, aren’t they?”

He was impressed. “Well said. How old are you?”

“Twenty.”

“That’s a good age. Do you have a boyfriend?”

She smiled again, “I’ll be single from tomorrow onward.”

Jeffrey did not quite understand and was about to ask for an explanation, but the car that had come to pick him up had arrived.

The driver hurriedly approached, “Are you alright?”

Jeffrey regretted not being able to continue his conversation with Sophia.

“I’m fine. This young lady saved me.”

The driver bowed. “Thank you, miss.”

Sophia politely replied, “No problem. It would be best if you took him to the hospital for further examination.”

It had been an hour since Elliot had been trapped in the bathroom. His phone was completely destroyed from being submerged in water. He might still be stuck in there if he hadn’t borrowed someone else’s phone to make a call.

After he got a new phone, he received news that his grandfather had suffered a sudden heart attack.

The news made him anxious, so he had no time to settle the score with Sophia. He drove straight to the hospital.

Eight years ago, his whole family had been in a car accident, and he was the sole survivor. However, the accident had left him unable to use his legs.

His grandfather had tried to get many doctors to help him, and he had finally been cured by a miracle doctor. He had never revealed the fact that he had been cured to anyone.

But while he was discussing a partnership with someone, his eighth brother, Edward, had almost spotted him.

He had rushed into the bathroom in a state of panic, fearing that his brother would find out that his legs were healed.

As a result, he had been trapped there for over an hour, and could not immediately head over to see his grandfather.

Elliot was full of guilt and worry.

After getting out of the car, his assistant, Samuel, carried him to a wheelchair and pushed him into the hospital.

Elliot asked, “Grandpa usually receives treatment at Central Hospital. Why are we at Eden Hospital today?”

Samuel replied, “Mr. Adam said your grandfather requested this.”

They took the elevator straight to the 13th floor, attracting some attention along the way.

“Quick! Look! It’s Elliot Patton! He’s so handsome!”

“Yeah, it’s a pity he’s disabled.”

“Keep your voice down. I heard he’s ruthless and cruel. It doesn’t end well for anyone who crosses him.”

“I’ve also heard that he has problems in the bedroom and likes to torture women. Men like him are only good to look at. Anyone who marries him will probably never see daylight again!”

Sophia had just come out of her grandmother, Dorothy Miller’s room when she heard a group of young nurses chattering.

Curious, she asked, “Who are you talking about?”

One of the nurses said, “We’re talking about Elliot Patton, Ms. Buck.”

Sophia asked in surprise, “Elliot Patton? Who is that?”
