My rejection

I was not one who likes to party, and I was still weak from my transition, so I decided to go sit at my favorite spot in the middle of the woods. I sneaked out of the party and ran through the woods until I got to my spot. I sat on top of a big stone and sighed deeply.

Within minutes of sitting down in my favorite spot, my ears twitched as the leaves rustled and twigs snapped. My ears had become much sharper since the unveiling of my wolf. From the perceived movements, it was with no doubt two people approaching.

Maybe two lovers who were sneaking out for some fun. I felt my heart fluttering in my chest as I began to fantasize about meeting my mate.

I really hoped that my mate would be from this pack, even if it was not Paul. I would rather not become like others who will have to start traveling from one pack to another to find their mate, nor do I want to rely on different ceremonies which were held for unmated wolf's to find my mate.

Since I am now a full-fledged wolf, I can go into heat. I have heard of how tormenting it is to go into heat without having a mate.

Most of the mateless wolf's will have to pick a partner to mate with during heat, and I do not want that.

The footsteps were coming closer to me, and this made me begin to shift uncomfortably. What if the lovers decide to stay and do their stuff close to me?

I did not want to give up her favorite spot because of them, nor did I want to return to the party

I stiffen when a glorious and tantalizing scent wafted through the air to fill up my nostrils. My wolf, which had been quiet to recover from coming out for the first time, suddenly jumped in my head and began fighting to come out.

I jumped down from the stone and struggled hard with my wolf. I tried to remain in my human form as I finally realized what was going on.

Mate

I just caught the scent of my mate, my wolf was now screaming at me to quickly go after my mate before I lost his scent.

Before I could panic about losing him if I was not fast enough, my wolf forced my legs to move, and I began to run through the woods, pushing the leaves out of the way, chasing after the scent before it disappeared completely.

In my haste, I failed to realize that the scent of my mate was mixed with that of another person

Will my mate be Paul? Will my mate be one of those guys in school? Will he be my age mate, or will he be older than I am? I shook my head to clear my thoughts as I kept on chasing after and tracking down my mate using his scent.

I stopped when I caught sight of two people, a young man a girl were entangled in each other's arms as the young man whispered sweet nothings to her

I wanted to move on, but that was when I noticed that the place I was was where the scent of my mate ended. Then I saw the young man stiffen and turn around, my heart froze up when I saw who it was.

It was Paul, the Alpha king's son and the future Alpha King of my pack, I wanted to jump for joy but then the woman he was with turned around, and my eyes widened in shock when I saw who it was Anna

"Anna?" I called out in shock.

To say that I was in shock was an understatement, Anna was among the people who turned eighteen recently and just like me, she just got her wolf today

What is the innocent Anna I knew doing in the arms of a man and not just any man but Paul the Alpha's son and the person I just found out was my mate?

"What is going on here?" My voice began to break.

Anna rushed to hide behind Paul like she was frightened, and I saw a deep frown appear on Paul's face “I don't want you as a mate. I have already found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and it's Anna” Paul turns to look behind him at Anna with a lovely expression

"What?" I yelled out in shock, “you don't want your chosen mate because of your girlfriend? “ I could not understand what he was saying, so I had to ask.

My wolf howled in agony, “don't allow mate to reject us"

"Yes and I, Paul Williams, future alpha King of Blood moon pack rejects you, Mary-lee Alaric as my mate and the future Luna of this pack!!" Paul spat out coldly.

"What!!" I shrieked as I felt a blinding pain burst forth from within my chest.

My wolf howled in pain and I slumped down to the ground “you can't do that to me, I am your mate please” I begged, but Paul turned a deaf ear and instead took Anna by the hand and walked away, leaving me in the middle of the woods lost and in severe pains

"Why did mate reject us? It's all because of that girl, Anna. She stole mate” my wolf cried out.

"What did we do to mate? Why would he want to hurt us like this because of another woman?"

"We have never hurt anyone our whole life, so why us?”

The weather was cool and serene, everyone was happy and joyful, especially the newly transformed werewolf's and the ones who just found their mates

In the woods, the birds sang sweetly calling one to another as they flew from tree to tree, the sun was beginning to rise and everyone was getting ready to go about their day.

The peaceful atmosphere had nothing to do with me, as I was broken and battered. It has been three months. Three months since Paul rejected me as his mate. I had no one to talk to and worst of all, he became our Alpha King last month after he turned twenty-one and introduced Anna as his chosen mate.

I had been forced to attend the ceremony and watch my mate pick someone else. Even though some person's in the pack were against the idea of an Omega becoming their Luna, they could not say anything for fear of offending Paul, who was known to be wicked, but still, my heart yearns for him

I have been missing my training to join our army for a week now because I have been feeling sick of seeing Anna and Paul's display of affection on the training ground. I knew that I needed to resume my training because once my absence was noticed I would face a lot of punishment. Our Alpha intended to wage war against another pack, but I did not know which one.

I grabbed my sword and left the house with my head down, and since the training ground was not far, I decided to walk, planning on clearing my head on the way. I intended to run away from my pack before whatever war they were planning even began. Though my wolf was not very accepting of the idea, we had no other choice as we could not continue to bear the pain of our mate going about flaunting his other woman.

My head that was dipped low snapped up in shock when I bumped into someone, and my eyes widened when I realized who it was. It was Anna.

"Oh my God, I am so sorry" I reached out a hand to grab her, but it was too late. She was already on the floor.

" Ahhhh" she shrieked in pain as she clutched her stomach

"Are you okay?" I immediately knelt down beside her and asked.

"How dare you try to harm me?" She shrieked up at me in an accusing voice and I cringed back.

By now her high-pitched voice was already attracting the attention of other werewolves, and it was not something I wanted, so I rushed to apologize

"I apologize for bumping into you, it was a mistake” I apologized and tried to help her up.

" Stay away from me, you are trying to harm my baby” She shoved me away, causing me to stagger, and she clutched at her stomach. I could see sweat glistening on her forehead and I knew that she was in pain

I stiffen as her words registered in my head. A baby. She was pregnant, and I just knew who got her pregnant; my mate. My wolf howled in my head and I felt intense pain wash over me.
