Chapter 4

The storm was getting heavier and heavier with wild wind and heavy pouring but that didn't make any impact on the people inside the club, the club was as crowded as it could be. People were dancing on the loud heart throbbing music, radiating energetic vibes everywhere. The club was huge with dim lights and smoke all around the place making everything foggy.

Even the waiters had to hold there trays above their heads as they slipped through the large crowd.

Away from the dance floor in a lounge of VIP section Aiden was fulfilling his desires. He sat in between the two ladies, aggressively tugging one of the lady's bottom and on the other side he was kissing the other lady vigorously.

A buzzer ran off and one of the woman stopped as she heard a buzzing sound from her watch and quickly said. “Time's up.”

The other woman also separated herself from Aiden and started adjusting her dress even though she really didn't had lots of cloths to adjust.

Aiden Brown, the human-werewolf shapeshifter was living in the human world for years now but unlike Drake he didn't cut ties with his family. For all these years he was waiting for another one chance to destroy the dragon king again. After becoming one of the most influential gangster he did everything he desired unlike the successor of dragon throne who started a pity business and with just some little luck he became a billionaire and did everything right. Aiden was his own master, he didn't need validation from anyone.

He associated in many illegal businesses but never in his life any police or agency got a hold on him maybe because he was not a famous criminal or he worked so discreetly that no one had any solid proof against him or he just killed anyone who ever went against him.

He sat there with a satisfied grin on his face and why wouldn't he be satisfied these women were best in satisfying him, as a loyal customer who paid them everytime he deserved the satisfaction. His body was masculine and big enough to satisfy anyone and he could agree that these women enjoyed every bit of it as he did, his brown dark eyes complementing his dark grey ruffled hair and who wouldn't have ruffled hair after such an extensive exercise.

As both the ladies finished and settled they both took their hands out in front of him.

Aiden chuckled and raised his eyebrows. “All business like eh! Like your style.” He took out a bunch of cash out of his pocket, separated it into two and flung it to them. “So when should I call you two again.”

Both the them smiled at him and left, just when the two women left two men entered the lounge. One was smiling cheekily and the other looked completely disappointed. One sat right beside him and nudged Aiden the other sat away from them, unable to hide his disappointment the man said. “Don't you have any respect for your mate.”

“He hasn't find his mate, Charlie.” The other man interjected.

“And that's your excuse for randomly sleeping with these kinds of women.” He snapped.

“Hey, calm down these women are just doing there job, don't say bad things about them.” Aiden said politely.

The man shagged his shoulders down. “I'm not talking bad about them it's you who—”

“So you are saying something about me.” Aiden looked at him maniacally. “You are saying I'm the one who is wrong, do you forget who the boss is or do I have to remind you?”

Charlie swallowed hard in fear as he saw Aiden fangs. “So. . . sorry boss.”

Seeing the man in fear Aiden smiled. “These humans are just toys play with them and throw them away. Just enjoy your life as it lasts.” He stretched his body and looked at the man who was sitting beside him. “Did you find anything new about him?”

“No boss.” The man shook his head. “He just keeps working in daylight and in night he just drinks up his pain.”

“What a pity.” Aiden laughed. “From someone who was supposed to sit on the thrown of dragon realm to a heart broken lover.”

     “Do you pity him boss?”

“Oh no!” Aiden quickly denied, “I pity myself that I won't be able to see him on his knees again.”

“I believe that she will never reincarnate, that was just a lie.” The man laughed, Aiden also joined him and the other man, Charlie he sat so silent that they already forgot that he was with them.

“Don't let my hopes down, I want to see him in agony.” Aiden smiled wickedly.

Little did he knew that Drake was burning in agony every minute, every second. If he wanted he could easily brought the girl to him and all his powers but for him her happiness was more important than his.

That same stormy night when no one was looking, when everyone was either sleeping or distracted Emily ran away leaving a note behind.

When you will find this I would be long gone, I'm more than 18 so please don't look for me because I don't want to get found.

—Emily

After listening to her mother poisonous words about how despicable she was and hiw much of a bad influence she was on her sister she made a decision, to run away. This reckless decision that she made over the impulse of moment has brought her on streets but of course she had plans. She went to her classmates house for that night.

Without any warning she showed up in front of her classmate's door all wet and all alone. No one in there right mind would tell her to leave and especially her classmate Tessa was one of the kindest classmate among all of the other classmates. Was Emily taking advantage of her kindness? Yes she was but she really didn't know what else to do.

Just as she thought, Tessa was generous enough to let her stay that night and after telling her ‘not so real’ story about her family issue Tessa agreed not to tell anyone about her stay but eventually her family would know and they would drag her out of here and Emily herself didn't wanted to be a burden to anyone anymore so she proceeded with her plan B.

For literal two days she stayed in Tessa's home and searched for a place to live. She didn't have much money to offer but at that time she could live anywhere even in a small square room if she had to.

The amount of money she had with her from her part time jobs and savings would never let her afford a luxurious apartment and she didn't needed that, so with her little amount of money and courage she striked out in search of a place which she could call home.

Understanding her financial situation she went far away from all the hustle bustle of main parts of the city with expensive apartments to the outskirts of the city, precisely the local area which was still developing.

One by one Emily inquired everyone who wanted tenants at their resident but everytime either the rent was too high or the place was not adequate for a human to live.

Losing all hopes she rested her back on the wall, eyes closed when suddenly a large thud voice break her out of her reverie. She looked around abd saw a old woman cursing out loud because her groceries ripped out and all her supplies were all around the ground.

“Do you need any help ma'am?” Without waiting for the old lady response Emily jumped up to help her.

The old lady politely nodded at Emily and looked up. When her eyes fell on Emily face she gasped. “Ailee!”

“Huh?” Confusion trolled on Emily's face. “Sorry you must be mistaken, I'm Emily.”

Ignoring the remark Emily started picking up the groceries when the lady  took Emily face in between her hands and smiled. “You look just like my daughter Ailee.”

Emily also smiled awkwardly in return, picking up her grocery bags Emily asked her to lead the way and when they arrived at her house she invited Emily in.

Closing the door behind Emily, the old lady said. “You shouldn't believe everything a stranger say.”

Emily back stiffened and terror struck her eyes, she let her guard down for a minutes and she was being threatened. Mustering all the courage left in her body she turned just to see the old lady smiling.

“Got you, didn't I?” The old lady chortled, “I'm Kate by the way.”

“Nice to meet you, I'm Emily Clarke but I think I should leave now I'm looking for space to rent so every minute is precious. Good day Kate.” With her last words she passed the lady and opened the door.

“Wait! I can help you with that.” Emily turned to face her. “I have room that I can rent you with low price.”

     “Really!” Emily jumped in excitement.

“Stop this child, first look at the room then decide.” Kate exclaimed. “This generation!”

Kate signalled Emily to follow her outside. Attached to her house there was an outer route to her terrace, the stairs that lead to her house roof in which there was a room. When they entered the room it was decent, a bedroom and kitchen with bathroom attached.

     Kate remarked. “Impressive, huh?”

     Emily nodded.

“Now show me some excitement child. Would you like to live here?”

“Yes, if you let me,” Emily replied. “but before that I have to tell you I don't have lots of money.”

Kate strolled towards Emily and put her hand in her head. “I don't need money, all I need is your company.”

“Company? I thought you have a daughter.” Emily asked.

“I had a daughter, she died years ago.”

Emily wanted to say sorry but couldn't she felt sad for the old lady, she had to live all alone by herself. Moreover she wasn't asking for rent Emily couldn't find a better place.

Soon that night Emily left her classmate's house, without telling her where she was going to live. The old lady Kate was caring, many times she brought food for her out of the kindness of her hear. As for Emily's family they tried to contact her and sometimes she picked up their calls to let her mother know that she was fine on her own.

As for the rent Kate never asked Emily to pay any rent which made things easier for Emily.

After clearing the entrance exam of criminology law college with highest rank she happily went to college with scholarship.

At first sight Kate could recognised how identical Emily looked to her own deceased daughter Ailee and the reason she let her live with her was to protect her from all the monsters who took her own daughter away from her especially the man named Drake Creed.
