Brother Andrew set off early the following morning hoping to be back in Edinburgh by the middle of the afternoon. He had been to the pack house in Thurso and had a productive meeting with Alpha Solomon the previous night. The Alpha had liked the idea of their history being properly documented and he had also expressed an interest in meeting Annie too so when stopped in Inverness for coffee he decided to call her to see he could arrange a meeting. He pulled out her card and tapped her number into his phone, Annie answered on the second ring.
“Hello?”
“Mrs. Crozier, it’s Brother Andrew here, I wondered we could meet at the Chapel this afternoon? I have some good news.”
“Yes of course, what time?” asked Annie, she was excited at the thought of getting her teeth into another project, especially one that hadn’t been written before.

Alpha females don’t run in packs. ANON. Once the bus dropped them off in the city centre, Annie and Jen wandered around for half an hour to be absolutely sure they were not being tailed. Once they were convinced it was safe, they headed out of the city. It took them four hours to walk to Queensferry and to cross the Forth Bridge, from there they pushed north, skirting the towns of Cowdenbeath and Kinross until they reached Loch Ore. They sat on the banks of the loch and ate the sandwiches and as dusk claimed the skies, they undressed and packed their clothes into their bags.
