Alisha’s POV

I felt embarrassed, apologizing to him immediately, and then I ran away as quickly as I could before he opened his mouth. This might be impolite, butI don’t want others see me in a sorry state.

I rushed into the restroom to wash my face and Nova just came out.

"What's up, Alisha?" Nova stepped closely, helping me clean my face.

"Don't worry. I met Archie just now and I ... I am getting a little worked up with that bastard." I answered after a sigh.

"Fuck, why does he come here? Isn't he supposed to accompany bitch Erma to comfort her now?"

"What happened?" I caught a hidden meaning in her words and asked immediately.

"Oh, Erma becoming a hot search topic on Twitter, but…" Nova paused here on purpose, raising her eyebrow with a smirk, "I think you should watch it by yourself."

I hurried to take out my phone and checked on Twitter.

Erma had accepted an invitation to a benefit dinner for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), but she finally broke the promise to attend with an excuse that she had a fever. However, she was exposed to celebrating her birthday with her mysterious boyfriend on that day, so now Erma was criticized by online users, and many people who worked with Erma came out to complain about her.

"She frequently acts like a big shot."

"She is a fraudster!"

"Shame on her!"

"I must say that Erma's voice is a tragedy."

The original post that uncovered Erma's lie had been retweeted for one million times. I had to admit that I was so glad to see this.

"She brought it upon herself!" Nova laughed, "If this bitch didn't seduce your husband, she wouldn't…" Nova suddenly paused and studied my expression as though she was afraid that I might get sad with this topic.

"It doesn't matter. I don't care about it at all."

Nova was relieved and continued, "Yeah, don't let them bother you. Keep moving forward and I believe you can find a better lover soon! Don't worry, I have a long list of high-quality boys. Your good looks can help you get them in just a few minutes."

I smiled slightly with Nova's tease. Although I was in no mood to find another man now, I was glad to look at Erma's embarrassment.

My phone rang unexpectedly at this time. I frowned at the sight of caller's name on the screen-my uncle, Joey.

I couldn't let him know I was going to divorce, so I signaled Nova to keep silent and answered the phone reluctantly.

"Alisha, where are you?"

"I was at home now."

"Are you staying with Archie?"

"No. I am alone."

"Well, come back to Black Furies. I want to see you right now." Then Joey hung up the phone immediately.

I bit my lips and took a deep breath. "Sorry, Nova, my uncle asked me to go back soon, so I am afraid that I can't have a meal with you today. I'll make it up next time!"

"Never mind. Does he force you again? He is too greedy."

I nodded, "In his eyes, my sole value lies in assisting him to obtain Archie's support."

Joey was crowd and stupid, as the Alpha of the Black Furies, he was unqualified. He was also clear of that. So he planned to send me to other pack's powerful werewolves to exchange resources. Joey had me meet many old, ugly, cruel and even dirty werewolves before.

I was a disabled werewolf without a wolf, so it was impossible for the normal werewolf to marry me. Joey didn't care about my marriage or happiness. I was so scared that he would marry me to these trash during those days, and sometimes, I even wanted to run away to get rid of this fucking terrible life…

So when I knew that Archie would become my husband, I really thanked the Moon Goodness, who sent a prefect man to my life, rescuing me from hell.

However, I didn't realize this marriage was another hell for me.

"Alisha, are you OK? What did your shit uncle say to you?" I was brought back by Nova's words.

I shook my head and replied, "Don’t worry. He asked me to go back. I can handle it."

Then I drove to Joey's house.

"Alisha, long time no see. I think you have forgotten us since you married Archie." My cousin, Evita said in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

I glanced over her annoying face, "How can you say that? Don't you receive my gift to celebrate your graduation last month?"

Evita opened her mouth and complained, "You're too stingy. That present is worthless!"

Evita was right. I didn't want to waste my money, so I bought a cheap painting online as her gift. But I certainly cannot admit it, so I pretended to be angry, "Evita! You have disappointed me greatly! To prepare this present, I have been practicing painting for several months. But you don't value my feelings! Now that you don't care about our relationships, from now on, I won't prepare any gift for you."

Evita was lost for words, standing there dumbfounded.

"That's enough! How can you speak to Evita like this?" A deep voice sounded suddenly. Joey walked downstairs as he criticized me harshly.

Evita stepped closely to Joey and said, "Dad, I am fine. Alisha is the noble Luna of the Golden Crest now, so I know I must respect her."

I rolled my eyes. Respect me? How ridiculous! She hated me in guts since I married Archie.

"No matter who she marries, she is a member of the Heimanns, my nephew! She must obey my order and respect me!" Joey watched me harshly as he said.

I closed my eyes to calm myself down. "Uncle, what do you want to say?"

"Are you pregnant?"

I frowned slightly as he asked. I didn't want to talk this with Joey. In his eyes, not only me, but also my baby would be become bargaining chips to help him gain more resources from Archie.

"No." I answered in a flat voice.

"You should work harder! You must have Archie's baby as soon as possible. You are a disabled werewolf, if Archie's grandma passed away, you would lose your position easily! The next Alpha of the Golden Crest must inherit the bloodline from the Black Furies!"

I was sick of his nonsense, but I had to endure it. Every time Joey saw me, he would repeat it again and again.

After a while, Joey finally changed the topic and asked, "I have told you that tomorrow is my 50th birthday. I asked you to invite Archie and his mother to come together. How do you deal with it now?"

My eyes widened open. Gosh, I was overwhelmed with the divorce these days and forgot this thing totally!

If I refused Joey now, he must be suspicious of the relationship between Archie and me. He would never allow me to reject Archie! Grandma was in the Black Furies, so I couldn't turn against Joey now.

Therefore, there was only way left for me, begging the bastard Archie to help me hide our divorce plan from Joey.

Fuck!
