Chapter 112 : His memory

Axel’s POV

Nora.

That name keeps coming into my head.

Nora… Nora…

She said she’s my mate. She cried so much when she said it. She held my hand like I was her whole world.

But… I don’t know her. I don’t remember her face before today.

Did I really lose my memory?

I press my hand to my forehead, trying to remember something — anything. A moment, a smell, a laugh… but all I see is darkness. My mind feels empty, like someone wiped everything clean.

“Who are you, Nora?” I whisper quietly. “Why can’t I remember you?”

I try harder. The pain grows in my head. My heart beats faster. I shut my eyes, but still… nothing.

Maybe she lied. Maybe she just said that because she feels sorry for me.

But… the way she looked at me… the way she touched me… it didn’t feel fake. It felt real. Too real.

I take a deep breath and lie back on the bed. The room is quiet. The old woman who healed me isn’t here. Nora went outside, maybe to get some air.

My heart feels heavy. My mind feels

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Battle Escalates

Chapter 193 — The Battle EscalatesThe air was thick with tension, a storm about to break. The neighboring pack’s council clearing had already become a battlefield of words and steel, but Auren wasn’t finished. Far too desperate to claim me, he bared his teeth in defiance and raised his hand. A signal, subtle but unmistakable. From the surrounding forest, shadows shifted. Wolves — dozens, maybe hundreds, emerging silently at first, then more boldly, weapons in paw or claws glinting under the pale moonlight. Reinforcements loyal to him, other packs that had been promised territory or power, surged forward like a wave ready to crush us.My heart clenched. I felt Axel tense beside me, his presence through the bond steady, powerful, but coiled like a spring. He knew what was coming — he had sensed it before even the first scout crossed the clearing. I could feel his anger, the fury that simmered beneath his control. But I couldn’t wait for him to act alone. I wouldn’t. Not anymore.I took

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Confrontation with Auren

Chapter 192 The Confrontation with AurenThe tension in the neighboring pack’s council clearing was suffocating, thick like fog curling around every tree. Every step I took toward the center was measured, controlled, but my blood screamed with anger. Every fiber of my being ached to tear through the lies, to crush Auren for daring to claim Nora, for daring to insult our bond, for daring to undermine the pack I had bled for.I could hear the whispers before I even saw them — the shuffle of feet, the low murmurs of warriors, the nervous breathing of those loyal to me and those too cowardly to speak out. And then I saw him.Auren. His posture was perfect — arrogant, smug, a predatory smile plastered across his face. Around him, a circle of his followers stood at attention, weapons ready, teeth gleaming, eyes sharp. They had clearly trained for this moment, for the possibility that I would come, but they hadn’t counted on the storm that I had become. My wolf senses flared, and I felt the

  • Rejected And Reborn   The False Claim

Chapter 191 — The False ClaimThe moment I stepped outside the safe house, a strange tension hit me like ice water. The air felt charged, humming with energy I couldn’t yet identify. Even the forest seemed to lean closer, listening. My instincts screamed that something was coming, but I couldn’t yet see it. I was still gathering my thoughts after the last confrontation with the rogue Beta pack, still recovering from the relentless drain of my powers. Axel had been trying to reassure me that we could rest for a day, but I couldn’t ignore the uneasy pull in the bond. Something was wrong — very wrong. Then I heard the news.Auren. That insufferable, arrogant prince of the neighboring pack. He had dared to come to the council and speak. I heard the words before I could even process them, and my heart nearly stopped in my chest:“The Luna of Axel has accepted my proposal.”I froze. The world tilted, my legs threatening to buckle beneath me. The council chamber erupted in chaos even before

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Offer of Peace

Chapter 190 — The Offer of PeaceHer POV The safe house felt quieter than usual that evening. Axel had gone on patrol with a few of the loyal warriors, chasing down rogue wolf movements along the borders. The only sounds were the occasional crackle of the fire, my own uneven breathing, and the soft stirrings of the forest outside. For once, I allowed myself a moment to sit, to catch my thoughts—and to feel the weight of everything pressing on me.My hand rested over my stomach. Auren was moving again, and the small, insistent thrum of life inside me was both a comfort and a warning. Every step I had taken to track the Beta, every battle we had survived, every exertion of my growing powers—it all felt amplified by the responsibility of protecting him.And yet… my solitude was shattered.A light knock sounded at the door. I stiffened immediately. Axel had insisted that no one should come unannounced, and my senses told me this was no ordinary visitor. My wolf stirred, instincts sharpen

  • Rejected And Reborn   Into the Lion’s Den

CHAPTER 189 — Into the Lion’s DenThe moment we crossed the final ridge, I felt it—an eerie stillness in the air, too controlled, too purposeful to be natural. Axel slowed beside me, his posture shifting, his scent sharpening with alertness. My heart, already bruised from exhaustion and the pregnancy pulling at my energy, began to pound like a warning drum against my ribs.“We’re close,” Axel murmured, scanning the tall pines ahead.Close to safety. That’s what we had hoped. But the wind carried something else—fear… and readiness.Something was wrong.I tightened my cloak around myself and placed a protective hand over my stomach. My child responded with a small kick, a reminder that I wasn’t alone, even in this chaos.“Axel,” I whispered, “do you smell that?”He nodded. “Warriors. Too many. And they’re not trying to hide.”We exchanged a look. Not good. Not normal. Not welcoming.Still, we stepped forward. We had no other choice. My powers were unstable; my body was exhausted. The Be

  • Rejected And Reborn   The Hunt and the Alliance

Chapter 188 : The Hunt and the AllianceThe night air was thick with tension, the scent of rain-damp earth mingling with the musk of a hundred wolves. I crouched behind the gnarled roots of an ancient oak, my senses stretched to their limits, every nerve alive. The Beta and his rogue pack were ahead, camped in a narrow clearing that smelled of fire, sweat, and fear. My loyal wolves circled silently around me — Nicholas, Arlen, and a handful of others who had proven their loyalty beyond doubt. Even though we were outnumbered, the forest was our ally, and my powers gave us a chance to strike with precision.I felt the pulse of Axel’s presence through the mate bond, sharp and insistent. He was near, just on the edge of the clearing, crouched behind a fallen log, eyes glowing faintly in the moonlight. His fur was bristled, his muscles coiled. I could feel the tension in him, the barely restrained fury, and it made my pulse quicken. I had to stay focused. For him, for our child, and for th
