Inside the massive living room of the Sawyer mansion, Clarissa Sawyer, Noah Sawyer and his dad were gathered. Richard Sawyer slammed his fist on the table, his face red with rage.

“Can’t you even keep one single boy in check? You let him run around wildly at the banquet, and now look at what he has done!” Richard shouted, his chest heaving with anger. “First thing this morning, Adler Tech and Keagan Enterprises froze all our trade deals! Our stocks are crashing by the minute!”

Clarissa Sawyer bit her lips, trying so hard to control her outburst. “Dear, that ungrateful brat must have done it on purpose! Who would have thought he would cause such a disaster the moment we took him out?”

Standing behind his mother, Noah kept his head down. He was desperately trying to hide his nervousness. If he had known that forcing that red liquor down Kyle’s throat last night would cause this much harm to the family company, he would never have done it, no matter how furious and jealous he had been. He thought Kyle would just make a fool of himself, not trigger the wrath of the nation's top tycoons.

Just as the argument was about to spiral out of control, the heavy wooden front doors of the mansion were pushed open and Kyle walked into the room.

The moment Clarissa spotted his thin frame, she instantly flared up in rage, not noticing who was standing behind him in the dimly lit foyer.

“You brat! You actually have the guts to come back now?” Clarissa roared, coming forward with her hand raised. “Look at the mess you have caused! Tell me, where have you been hiding all night?”

But before her hand could drop, the words completely froze in her throat. Her eyes went wide with sudden terror as she finally noticed the two towering figures stepping into the light right behind Kyle.

“A…hh… President Adler… Chief Keagan…” Clarissa stammered, her face turning pale instantly. Her raised hand dropped limply to her side.

The expressions on the faces of the two powerful Alphas were absolutely terrifying. Hugo’s dark eyes were locked onto Clarissa like a predator ready to snap her neck. The moment he heard this loud woman screaming at Kyle, making the poor boy flinch and shrink his shoulders, Hugo’s blood boiled with fury. How dare these people yell at his precious match right in front of him?

Noah’s heart leaped into his throat as he stared at Devon Adler in awe. He quickly stepped forward, his cheeks flushing with a delicate shade of pink as he tried to look as fragile and elegant as possible.

“President Adler… Chief Keagan… to what do we owe this honorable visit?” Noah murmured softly, his voice trembling with a mix of excitement and fear.

Even though Noah possessed a forty-eight percent compatibility match with Devon Adler in the national database, he dared not call this terrifying tycoon by his first name. High society and the media always gossiped that they were very close and bound for marriage. But the truth was, Noah had only seen Devon a handful of times in his life. The cold-blooded tech giant had never once glanced his way, nor had he ever acknowledged the fact that they were supposed to be prospective marriage partners.

Noah gazed up at Devon, who stood in the center of the room in all his glory, radiating absolute dominance; he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of admiration and greed. This was the man who was supposed to belong to him, and he would make sure of that.

Hugo noticed Noah's intense, greedy gaze and let out a cold, mocking tsk. He walked a step closer to Kyle, his large body naturally blocking the boy from the Sawyer family's sight.

“Kyle was with us last night,” Hugo announced, his deep voice echoing through the quiet dining room. “He fainted at the banquet, so we personally took him to a hospital to get checked. Didn't my personal assistant relay the message to your house?”

In reality, they had never sent any message to the Sawyer family. But in the hospital, they had told Kyle that his adoptive parents already knew his whereabouts so that the anxious boy would stop panicking. Now, they had to play along with the lie to keep Kyle at ease.

Hearing Hugo’s words, Richard Sawyer instantly felt a wave of relief and excitement. He quickly pushed past his wife and son, as a flattering smile spread across his face.

“Ahh! It must have been a mistake on my end! My personal assistant must have forgotten to convey the message to us!” Richard said quickly, bowing his head slightly to the two tycoons. “Come in, come in, please sit down. Thank you so much for taking our Kyle to the hospital. This kid has always been very frail and sickly in health since we took him in. We deeply apologize for whatever trouble or inconvenience he might have caused your honors last night.”

“It was no trouble at all,” Devon replied coldly.

But as Devon spoke, his jaw suddenly clenched tightly. He noticed that the moment they had called his name, Kyle quickly distanced himself away from him.

Dammit, Devon thought, his chest tightening with frustration. He had completely forgotten to introduce himself properly to Kyle at the hospital, and he hadn't cleared the air about the fake marriage rumors between him and Noah.

Hugo noticed Devon's rare expression of frustration and helplessness and couldn't help but chuckle under his breath. Serves him right, he shouldn't have let the rumour to spread for this long.

If Logan was here, he would have facepalmed. How on earth were these two most dangerous Alphas in the country supposed to chase their wife when they didn't even introduce themselves? Sigh, these two were really clueless when it came to matters of love.

“There is no need to come in,” Hugo said with a dismissive tone. “Just take good care of him. We will be leaving now.”

Noah quickly seized the opportunity to show off his gentle, caring brother persona. He stepped closer to Kyle and looked at the Alphas with watery eyes. “Thank you so much, President Adler, Master Keagan, for bringing my brother home safely.”

None of them even looked at Noah, they just turned around and left, leaving the boy embarrassed.

Kyle kept his head hung very low, his mind was trapped in a mess. What should he do now? He had turned out to be a match to Noah’s prospective husband. If Noah ever found out, his brother would be so incredibly sad and angry.

Thankfully, Kyle thought, nobody in this house would ever know about the perfect match, or the fact that he had presented as an Omega last night. The kind doctor, Logan, had been nice enough to give him a highly potent, pheromone blocker before he left the hospital. Kyle’s scent was completely hidden again. He decided he just had to pretend that the hospital test never happened. He would stay in his dark attic, keep his mouth shut, and Noah would be happy.

The moment the heavy front doors closed and the two powerful Alphas left the mansion, the atmosphere in the living room snapped back to a freezing, dangerous level.

Richard Sawyer turned around slowly towards Kyle, his flattering smile vanishing completely, replaced by a deep, calculating look as he stared at Kyle. “Kyle, look at me. What exactly happened last night?”

Kyle trembled as he nervously twisted his fingers. “I… I don't know… Father. I suddenly felt very d…izzy, and then I f…ainted. When I woke up… I was already on a hospital bed… I really don't know anything else…”

“You bastard! You are lying!” Clarissa Sawyer hissed in anger and she moved towards him. “It must be more than that! If you didn't deeply offend one of them last night, why on earth would our family stocks be crashing first thing this morning? You must have done something stupid to make them angry!”

Kyle felt completely confused. His large eyes blinked through a layer of unshed tears as he looked at his angry adoptive mother. He truly did not understand what was going on. He didn't know anything about stocks or business trade deals. “Enough!” Richard bellowed, his voice was loud enough to shake the chandeliers.

He stared at Kyle’s pale, malnourished face for a long time, his eyes trying to figure out if he was lying. But Kyle only looked genuinely terrified and clueless. Richard let out a heavy sigh and waved his hand dismissively. “Go back to your room.”

“Yes… Father,” Kyle whispered. He quickly turned around and hurried up the stairs, desperate to lock himself inside his small, dark attic room away from their voices.

Richard stood by the dining table, his expression growing serious. He felt that the matter from last night was definitely not as simple as Kyle fainting. Devon Adler and Hugo Keagan were cold-blooded monsters who ruled the business and military worlds with iron fists. They would never be nice enough to personally carry a useless, scentless Beta out of a banquet and take him all the way to a private hospital just because he had a dizzy spell.

There was definitely a deep secret hidden here.

Richard turned to his personal butler standing by the wall, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous whisper. “Tell our men to immediately investigate every single detail of what happened in that corridor last night. I want to know exactly what transpired bef

“M…matches?” Kyle’s eyes went wide. His mind was completely blank.Hugo and Devon took the opportunity to squat in front of him. This was something that would shock anyone who saw this.Standing beside Kyle, Logan screamed in his mind. Holy shit, holy shit, what am I looking at right now? His ruthless military friend, and the cold business tycoon were literally crouching on the floor of a hospital floor to make a boy feel better, using soft voices that no one had the honour of hearing. He really wanted to pull out his phone, take a picture, and send it to their group chat. But he knew if he did that, Hugo would kill him, so Logan could only stand there, enjoying the moment.“Yes, matches,” Devon said softly, his dark eyes fixed on Kyle’s face. “We will take care of you from now on. We will give you everything you need, and we will make sure you never lack food, safety, or anything else in this world.”Kyle stared down at them, feeling even more confused. “There is something else I need to tell you about the boy,” Logan said. “His blood test is very bad. He is dangerously starved. His body does not have enough nutrients, and his blood level is very low. It looks like someone has been taking a lot of blood from him for years, without giving him proper food or time to rest.”As Logan kept talking and listing all the bad things wrong with the boy's body, the air in the hallway felt like ice. Devon’s jaw tightened, and his face twisted in anger and Hugo’s eyes darkened, filled with killing intent.Seeing their terrifying faces, Logan quickly took a step back. He let out a sigh and rubbed his neck. “Well… his body is very, very weak. That is all I found out from the basic test. I will go now to check on his medicine. Call me if you need anything.” He quickly walked out as fast as he could, as if he was being chased. Devon and Hugo stared at the fragile boy lying on the hospital bed. His face looked so pale that he looked like he had giv

When the footsteps came closer, it was a waiter carrying a tray loaded with drinks. Noah's eyes locked onto the drinks. These specific dark red drinks were called Astra-Tonic. They were highly alcoholic and only Alphas were able to hold their liquor after drinking it. An idea popped in Noah's head. If he forced it down Kyle's throat, how would he behave? Would he still be as quiet as he was, or would he do something stupid and embarrass himself in front of the whole banquet? “Wait, let me take one of these, it's for my father.” Noah said, flashing him his signature angelic smile. The waiter, completely fooled, bowed and stretched the tray out towards him. Noah collected it, and as soon as the waiter's footsteps could no longer be heard. His expression turned vicious as he turned to look at Kyle. He grabbed Kyle by the back of his neck, and pinned him against the wall. “Since you love to act like a pitiful victim, let's see how you act after a drink,” Noah sneered.Kyle’

“You had better stay behind Noah at all times. Do not let us see you wandering around like a stray. If you misbehave at this banquet, you won't get food for a week. Do you understand me?”Clarissa Sawyer’s voice was completely devoid of emotion as she spoke. They were inside a plush limousine that was moving towards the venue of the banquet of the year. She didn't even bother to hide the disgust as she looked at the boy sitting across from her. Tonight, she was dressed in the latest haute-couture piece from the YX autumn collection, paired with this season's latest designer handbag. Afraid that the high-society elite might somehow miss how wealthy she was, she had draped herself in an excessive layer of diamond necklaces, heavy rings, and glittering hairpins. The display was gaudy, and a tad too much for anyone with actual refined taste, but to Clarissa, it was fashion, she simply wanted everyone to know that she could afford these things.Kyle nodded quickly as he hunched his shoul
