Samantha's P. O. V

“Ah," I screamed, quickly pulling my hand back from the ice.

“What is your problem, huh?” I snapped, “Are you trying to make things worse for me?”

He looked at my injured hand, then at my face. “I already told you it would hurt, but you didn't listen. And somehow, I'm still the one to blame?"

“You know what, forget it,” I said, zipping my jacket higher. “I don't want your help anymore."

“Hold on, you can't just change your mind like that,” he replied, watching me carefully.

  • Rejected Bloodline: A Tale Of Two Worlds    Into The Unknown

Adrian P.O. VI stood at the entrance of the cave, holding the map above my head. The early morning sun shone through it, giving a clearer view of the terrain. “Federation City.” I muttered, my eyes fixed on the X marked on the map. “I never thought I'd see the day… Those hunters would find my home”. _No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn't wrap my head around it. The mountain was already hard enough for us werewolves to pass through, let alone some ordinary humans._“But somehow, they still managed to…"“Adrian! Adrian”. Logan's voice echoed through the mind link, interrupting my thoughts. “Oh my, so the ghost finally decided to join the conversation." I scoffed.“This isn't the time for you to start throwing your tantrums again.” Logan snapped mentally, “Can't you see what kind of situation we are in right now?” “You know, sometimes I wonder how both of us share a mind connection, but somehow you never seem to figure out what I'm thinking about?” I sneered. “That's not im

Samantha's P.O.VI felt a strong hand on my shoulder, pulling me back and forth with a force that almost left me breathless. “Samantha… Samantha, wake up! You have to wake up.” The voice echoed through my mind. “Five more minutes, please.” I mumbled, still half asleep. “Wake up, now! The monster is attacking again!” “Monst...” The words barely left my mouth before I tossed the jacket aside and jumped to my feet. “Sh-show yourself?” I demanded, already taking a fighting stance as I looked around the cave. A choked sound brushed past my ear, making me turn. As soon as Adrian's eyes met mine, he took a step back and burst into laughter. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I couldn't help it!" He held up his hands, still laughing hysterically. “I wish you could see the look on your face right now!"“Scaring me out of nowhere," I fumed, glaring at him, “Are you planning on giving me a heart attack or what?" “My bad”. He grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck, “I just wanted to make sure you wer

Adrian P.O.V“Can you please just stand still for one minute?” I pleaded, already feeling dizzy from watching Samantha pace back and forth like a caged wolf. “Are you joking with me right now?” She snapped, hitting one hand over the other. “I just spent the last hour explaining what this thing on my forehead means, and all you can say is 'stand still'?"“Uh-huh,” I muttered, pressing my lips together. She stopped pacing and turned to me, her eyes narrowing slightly. “You weren't listening, were you?" I grinned sheepishly. “I was actually… But you were talking so fast that I might have missed some important points."“You know what?" she shook her head slowly. "Forget it”. “Come on, don't do this,” I whispered, holding her face in both hands. “I truly want to understand what you're going through so that I can find a proper way to help you… Please, just give me another chance, okay? I promise not to take it for granted ever again."She gave me a look that said, "You're getting on my

Or have you never considered the fact that you might actually be a Himophuric Blood Wolf?" “Himo… What?” I frowned. “Himophuric Blood Wolf,” he repeated, “It's a condition that makes your injuries bleed more than they should; that's why it only affects wolves with poor healing abilities or fragile bodies." “There's no way I'm Himophuric or whatever," I stated. “I mean, I've had a claw to my stomach, fallen off a cliff

Adrian P. O. VThe Next Morning “You can call me Adrian Devonsol, second son of the Blood Royals and Sacred Guardian of the Lunar Council." I grinned, crossing one leg over the other. “No way,” I said, clicking my tongue. “If I had used that line, then she would have definitely found out that I was trying to trick her." “But then again, it's not my fault she's so gullible.” I chuckled to myself, “I mean, how could she believe that spending one night in the cold would be enough to kill me… Just who does she think I am?” _Although, deceiving her wasn't my intention… What else was I supposed to do? I needed that information, and this was the only way to get it.__Then again, who would have thought she would be an Arcainan wolf like me?_Back home, Arcanians are wolves with special abilities that separate them from normal werewolves. It might be good… It might be bad. But a purebred Arcainan? That was something else entirely. And if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes that there was tr

Samantha's P. O. V“Save him.” I moved a stone to one side.“Don't save him.” I put another stone on the opposing side. “Save him.” A third stone followed. “Don't save him.” I set the fourth stone down firmly. I hesitated for a moment before placing the last stone. “Save him”. “No, no, no”. I ruffled my hair, stomping my feet on the ground. “I've spent all day playing this game, but why does it always end on 'Save him'?" I paused, eyeing the stones suspiciously. “Tell me the truth, are you working for him too?”“What the..." I shook my head quickly, pushing the thought aside. _Now I'm even talking to stones? I must really be losing my mind._My eyes slowly drifted to the entrance of the cave, where snowflakes floated down gently.“He couldn't still be out there, right?” I wondered. _I didn't owe him anything, nor was I responsible for his safety. So, why should I care about what happens to that annoying Wolf._I wasn't planning on wasting another morning thinking about him… But
