Chapter 2

Victoria

Waking up with a blurry and pale face, I shivered with my body aching badly. It has been since yesterday I was locked here in this dark dungeon which is meant for criminals without food or a single drop of water. The guards aren't showing me any care either as they gave me the heavy job which is meant for them. My life is indeed a miserable life. No parental love or care, not even from any member of the pack. My mother, who is supposed to show me love, is said to have died after giving birth to me. I really felt empty and useless. I can't stand for myself just for once, I can't sense my wolf which is indeed a shameful thing. The question bothering me is, am I really a werewolf? Because it is an impossible thing for a wolf not to be able to sense his or her wolf. It seems I am a forbidden wolf whose wolf has been sealed. I don't really know what to think of.

I jolted out of my thoughts and looked up with my body shaking vigorously as a very cold bucket of water was poured on me. I looked at the person standing in front of me with an angry look visibly on my face. It was Lady Mae, the head of the royal kitchen. She looked at me with hatred which glinted on her face. She grabs my face and slaps me hard on my cheeks which turn red instantly. I looked at her with my eyes beginning to form tears.

"Don't bother releasing that crocodile tears of yours, you greet me whenever am around you, don't think big of yourself being the Alpha daughter, you don't have a wolf, you're nothing"she said emphasizing her last statement. I buried my face on my face, her words really hurt me deep down. She is saying the truth and fact, I'm a useless human not a wolf.

"You are surprised to see me? Don't be surprised, you are helping me in the packed kitchen"I stared at her with a surprised look.

"With the countless and numerous maids in the pack, I don't think I can help you, what do you need me for?" She looked at me and smirked.

"Yes, there are many maids in the pack kitchen but I want you to do something, and mind you I am not suggesting but giving you an order which you have no choice but to adhere to"I nodded slowly with tears rolling down from my eyes.

"Now stand up and move out!" Her voice echoed heavily in the room. I stood up from the floor reluctantly, with my legs aching, I walked out of the dark dungeon with Lady Mae behind me. The guards bow at her a little, she smiles and walks away, and I follow from behind. I rub my eyes gently with my palms as the brightness of the day pierced into my eyes.

"Weak wolf"she hissed in front of me leading the way to the pack kitchen. Throughout the walk I was thinking of how I would be able to leave the pack, especially the situation I am in. But leaving isn't the option because the pack is well guarded with heavily armed guards. Getting to the royal kitchen, I walk in with Lady Mae. The maids in the kitchen bow before her slightly in respect. The maids looked at me with hatred on their faces and hissed out loudly. The respect given to the head of the kitchen should be given to me but it seems I am destined not to be respected.

"What is the useless wolf, bastard daughter of the Alpha doing in the kitchen, what a pity!" One of the female maids which caused an outburst of laughter in the royal  kitchen. Lady Mae stared at them with a scornful look before barking out at the maids.

"Get back to work, you son of a bitch"she barks out and the maids scamper back to work. She looked at me before making her statement.

"Go and wash that heap of plates at the place in the next five minutes, after that you are going to serve a particular person his meal" his meal? But does she mean that? Is it the person who ordered her to bring me to the kitchen just to serve him? Who the hell is him?

"But who is the person?"

"You are going to find out yourself"

Walking toward the washing base, I cleaned my hand thoroughly before washing the plate one after the other before making sure I was done with the plate. After a few minutes, I wiped off the sweat on my face before turning back to Lady Mae. She looks at me and smiles.

"What a good and hard working young lady"she said with a feign smile playing on her lips.

"Okay, take this food to room 23 by the left hand direction of the third hallway"I nodded slowly even my stomach rumbles at the word food. I haven't eaten anything for the past one day but I have to order to deliver the food to someone. She pointed at the direction in which the food was placed. I walk toward it and carry the food on the tray. I walked out of the royal kitchen holding the tray of the food firmly. I can't afford the food to fall from my hand to avoid more punishment.

Getting to the room, I didn't bother to knock because I was too tired. I held the knob of the door and pushed it open, granting me access to the room. The person who is here is stupid not to lock his or her door. Whatever that doesn't have anything to do with me, drop the food and leave the room.

I gasped and startled in fear as I stared at my naked elder sister with the son of the Beta. They were seriously in a hot and heated sex, their body drained with sweat. I wasn't shocked because of the position I met them but because of my elder sister Rania. I know what she is capable of. She would really deal with me with severe punishment. Cain stood up from the bed and wore his clothes before walking away. My elder sister stared at me with a glint of anger visibly on her face.

"How dare you!?"she shouted at me angrily.

"How dare you spoil the fun I was beginning to enjoy?"this is one of the reasons why I hated her. She gives her body to the male members of the pack.

"Am, am sorry"she didn't say anything but stood up from the bed and landed a slap on her cheek which caused the tray of food on my hand to fall flat on the floor.

"Who sent you, you fucking damn slave?"she said and grab me by my hair with force.

``It's Lady Mae. She sent me to deliver this food to me"she looked at me surprised and shocked at the same time.

"Wow! You are now a professional at lying when did I order Lady Mae to bring food for me?" Oh No, does this means Lady Mae knew that she was having sex and decided to set me up. I broke down in tears with my eyes aching. I don't want to cry in her front but it seem am born to be a weakling, have for never once tried to stay strong without crying in her front.

"Heard you are detained in the cell, well that is a good thing. Get out of my room and return back to the freakin cell. Oh my gosh! You stinks' 'she said, holding her nose with her hand. I grabbed the knob of the door and ran out of her room with tears streaming down from my eyes profusely.

I hate my life. Why is my life so miserable? I thought as the guard pulled me and threw me into the cell. I buried my face on the floor with tears rolling down from my eyes.

I hope something good happens tomorrow.
