Raven's POV

A mist hung in the air as we approached the deeper side of the woods. It's noon already.

Too late for mist to be hanging around. Yet, it was there before us like a spider web.

I watched as the captives and the rest of crew halted, trying to figure out what danger looms from the unclear cloud.

Birds chirp, skinks rustle leisurely under dried leaves and howls filled my ears.

My brother, Bruno, held my hands firmly but as the captives began to freak out, I decided to challenge whatsoever hiding in the woods that was covered with mist.

“Will he be right back?” I said to Bruno, pulling out my sword.

“ Where are you going?” Bruno's voice cracked, his eyes widening in disbelieve.

I didn't respond to him but I faintly heard Jax's voice very faintly from behind. I couldn’t quite catch what Jax said, but I did hear him mention he was coming right behind.

“ Where are you going, Ghost?” Tyler cuts in, his voice steady, enough to stop me from going to find solutions.

I ignored

Jax's POV“Search everywhere for her… and bring her back to me” I commanded my men. So, they divided themselves and began the search for Raven. How could she suddenly disappear in blue? I was still speaking with the strangers when she suddenly became invisible. Where could she have gone? I continued pacing around outside when Tyler walked up to me, his expression cold, his voice filled with urgency.“Jax, what is happening? Where's Ghost?”My lips twisted in frustration. “ I can't find her anywhere” My breath hitched, sweat draining my entire body.Tyler moved closer and tapped my shoulders gently. “ You don't have to worry about her. Ghost is just fine wherever she is” “I can't stop worrying” I turned to Tyler who had become more stable. “ Raven would get into trouble. I know what I'm saying” Realizing how much power Raven wielded and how much people seek to destroy or get her attention, I became more worried. Tyler and the rest seem not to understand how powerful and myster

  • Rejected By My Biker Alpha   Chapter 33

Raven's POV My heart pounded fast as I walked through the hallway leading to the large meeting room. Everything was still the same way I left them three years ago.An unfamiliar voice kept calling my name from a distance but I didn't bother to look back. Things are really happening fast. I don't know who I am anymore. Moonshard. I keep hearing that word but have never come to the realization of what it meant.Hurriedly, I passed the large meeting room and noticed the way two elders seated kept peering at me with something deep in their eyes. Ha! Do they still recognize me as Raven? It's been three years now. Many should have lost the memory of who I was already. “Raven?” One of them called my name and I spun around in his direction. I stopped short on the spot not knowing what to do or say. “ You?” the same elder continued. “What are you doing here?” My lips became dry. I wanted to walk away when Jax walked in.“ Raven” Jax's sharp voice interrupted from behind and I spun

Jax's POVClutching my chest, I took a deep breath, calming down myself. Ever since we escaped from the Crimson Fang den , I have been trying to figure out a whole lot of things with Raven the center of my concentration. Earlier today, something strange… or maybe something inexplicable happened while we were yet to escape from the den. Raven had fainted and while she was unconscious, darkness descended from nowhere and covered us all. The darkness wasn't my concern but the sharp voice that echoed from it. We listened in utter silence as the voice rang out with bold authority, delivering a prophecy about Raven.“She’s the moonshard Alpha queen?” I muttered to myself, still lost in thoughts. The sudden realization that Raven was the key to destroying or uniting packs made me shiver with cold inside. How could she be the chosen one that was prophesied about in the past? The one whose blood unites and divides the packs. As I kept wandering in thoughts in chambers, the door sudden

Jax POV . We retired from the Crimson Fang den, heading out to our freedom. The captives led us through a thick forest and we followed behind them in silence.Throughout the journey, Raven didn't leave her brother's side. Tyler and the rest of the crew stuck together while I walked behind them like a squared rabbit. Somehow, I was happy we won the battle but deep down, I wish all of this didn't come to an end. I wish Raven isn't going to leave my sight soon to her own world. I swallowed hard and continued walking. As the journey progressed, we arrived at a little river, shallow enough to wade across. Then, one of the captives lifted his voice in a low, mournful song, the melody flowing in the rhythm of his native tongue. Before long, a few others joined in, their weary voices echoing together in sorrowful harmony, while the rest continued in heavy silence, their soft voice causing the atmosphere to stir in a certain way.The song filled my ears and my heart swelled with the thoug

Raven's POVThe crew followed as we made our way through the den of the Crimson Fang. We had seen some men and women tied by trees earlier when we arrived.Tyler had revealed they were slaves and captive of the Crimson Fang members.I learned that the leader of the Crimson Fang name was Duncan. That he was holding some young men and women captive in a different part of the denMy heart sank as we approached the area. Tyler led the way while we followed. As we stepped in, fear gripped the captives' faces as they saw us.They must have felt the hellish sounds of the battle earlier and thought we were going to claim their lives. Then, Jax stepped, going with Tyler to see the captives while we waited behind them."Hey, we're here to rescue you. You're safe now," I heard him say, his voice gentle and reassuring. The captives looked at each other with a flush of confusion on their faces, then they shifted their gazes back back at Jax and Tyler.“Please don't kill us” A man quivered from
