It started out as a rejection where she disappeared, but once she returns an outlaw alpha who could burn the whole world down, everyone is scared. Raven was once a soft-spoken omega, hopelessly in love with her fated mate, Jax Thorn, the cold, dominant Alpha of the Iron Howlers MC. And on the night where the two of them discovered their mating bond, he rejects her coldly and publicly. Three years later, the world knows her as “Ghost, the ruthless leader of a feared rogue biker gang, her name whispered in fear and awe across packs. The girl who once cried over love is now a girl who is dominant and more than willing to protect those that serve her and stunned against those who she wants to turn against. What starts as a rogue attack that threatens those that she once loved. She is forced to choose to protect those that she once called family or to stand against them. Now, Raven and Jax are forced into close quarters: riding together, fighting side by side, and navigating a dangerous world where desire burns just as hot as betrayal. The scent of their mating bond still lingers between them, but so does the pain of the past. He thought he could live without her. She thought she could never forgive him. But when war explodes, enemies rise, and her hidden Alpha bloodline is revealed, Raven must decide—will she use her power to lead alone? Or will she risk her heart again for the man who once destroyed it? A rejected mate. A dangerous second chance. A love story forged in fire and fury.

My heart pounded in my chest as I stepped out, joining the others around the bonfire, wearing a white dress, my long black hair falling on my back.
Tonight is going to be a special night…Jax and I will be announcing our bond. I shivered in excitement, holding back myself from screaming while telling the pack about it. It has to be Jax to say the word… After all, I’m just an Omega.
Nobody would even listen to whatever I’d say, but it would be different for Jax Thorn, the Alpha of the Iron Howlers Pack. His word is like an iron, the rule of the pack.
Oh, look at that. Isn’t she that Omega?
Uh-huh. Did she seriously come here?
I can’t believe how shameless she can be!
The whispers and mumbles around me were clear, but I paid no mind to them. I was too busy praying to the moon goddess…praying that tonight would be the start of my new beginning.
Paying attention to any negative comments about me would only hurt my feelings. Pain was inevitable, but I’ve been getting used to it.
I stood on the corner and shut my eyes briefly before looking up at the night sky. I realized the sky was too open… too wide, like it was watching everything that’s happening down here.
Suddenly, I felt something strange…like something not good was about to happen.
Clutching my chest, I took a deep breath, calming down myself. They said fate never missed, that it always found its way back. And tonight, my fate will be decided.
The pack slowly gathered around the fire, coming in groups of their circle of friends. Even the other Omegas came with their families and friends, while I stood here…alone and ignored.
The alpha!
Shh. It’s the Alpha.
The noise in the crowd slowly died down as Jax Thorn arrived. He looked so fierce with his sharp deep blue eyes, not to mention his tattoos that tell a story of how the Iron Howlers Pack lived.
He walked like he owned the night, glancing at everyone in the pack.
My breath hitched when our eyes met for a moment. My mind told me to smile and I did, but the execution appeared to be awkward, embarrassing and probably weird in his eyes.
Jax stopped at the center, everyone’s eyes following his every move. He quietly stood there and a few seconds later, he opened his mouth.
My heart raced like a horse in the race track, my hands clasped together as I waited for him to speak.
“I, Jax Thorn…”
Oh my! He's going to say it…
My hands turned white as my grip tightened, anxiety lurking within me as I impatiently waited for him to finish what he was going to say.
After all, Jax is going to tell the pack that I’m his mate-
“... Reject Raven Kincade as my mate,” Jax continued, causing an uproar not just among the pack members, but to my heart.
“Wh-What?” I felt my blood leaving my face before it rushed back at the unexpected humiliation I received. “B-But why?”
The Moon Goddess granted us a mating bond we shouldn’t break… But Jax would rather go against the Goddess than accepting his fate with me.
Woah! That’s right. We don’t want a traitor as our Luna.
Yeah. She’s the daughter of a traitor. We don’t want her here!
The pack agreed, cheering for the Alpha’s decision.
The excitement I felt quickly turned into embarrassment as my erratic heartbeat slowed down in a blink. It was suffocating, like my heart was going to explode any moment.
N-No… Jax, A-Alpha… Please don’t do this to me, I screamed in my head, but words didn’t come out. I can’t accept this… please!
Tears streamed down my face as my heart crumbled into pieces. He didn’t even bother to talk to me before breaking our bond. He never cared the least about me…
“Raven Kincade, do you accept my rejection?” Jax asked, his voice was cold, his gaze was indifferent.
What else should I say? I could scream and beg for him not to reject me, but he already did. And as the Alpha of the pack, there was no way he was going to take back his words.
My father was recently blamed for betraying the pack. I believed he wouldn’t do it, but they said there was evidence that proved he was guilty. If the Alpha rejects me like this… I wouldn’t know what to do anymore.
Slowly, I nodded my head against my will. I listened to the laughter of people around me as they celebrated my misfortune. They all seemed to enjoy seeing me hurt and rejected…They all seemed to want to see me suffer.
“I-I…Raven Kincade, accept your rejection as your mate,” I whispered, grabbing my skirt at either of my sides. I clenched my hands so tightly my nails cut through my palms.
Blood dripped from my wounds, staining my white dress.
Hey, traitor! Go away!
Yes, leave the pack if you still have conscience!
Do not appear in front of the Alpha again!
I bowed my head as the pack continued shunning me. I wasn’t expecting anything, but I took another glance at Jax to see how he’d react. Maybe he’d let me stay at least. If he just told the pack that I could stay…
My hopes were gone when I saw Jax’s back. He was already heading back inside, already turning his back to me. The pang in my chest worsened, and I struggled to breath.
It was at that moment I realized I was truly alone… Even the pack where I should belong didn’t want me here.
“That’s right…” I whispered, glaring at the ground while trying so hard to hold back my tears. “I don’t belong here anymore…No, I never belonged here ever.”
With that realization in mind, I quietly slipped away from the crowd and ran as fast as I could away from the packhouse.
I stopped under the huge oak tree standing in the middle of nowhere…just like me, alone. I leaned on it, staring at the gentle moonlight as tears slowly fell from my eyes.
“Urk…” A choke came out of my lips. Not long after, I found myself crying hard…hugging the tree alone in the middle of the night…telling myself everything is going to be okay.
“Y-Yeah… It’s going to be okay.”
Raven's POVThe crew followed as we made our way through the den of the Crimson Fang. We had seen some men and women tied by trees earlier when we arrived.Tyler had revealed they were slaves and captive of the Crimson Fang members.I learned that the leader of the Crimson Fang name was Duncan. That he was holding some young men and women captive in a different part of the denMy heart sank as we approached the area. Tyler led the way while we followed. As we stepped in, fear gripped the captives' faces as they saw us.They must have felt the hellish sounds of the battle earlier and thought we were going to claim their lives. Then, Jax stepped, going with Tyler to see the captives while we waited behind them."Hey, we're here to rescue you. You're safe now," I heard him say, his voice gentle and reassuring. The captives looked at each other with a flush of confusion on their faces, then they shifted their gazes back back at Jax and Tyler.“Please don't kill us” A man quivered from
Jax's POV As the battle subsided, we let out a collective sigh of relief. We'd won at all costs. The den was quiet, the only sound that echoed was the heavy breathing of the crew members.Sunny immediately gave a shout of Victory. He screamed and collapsed on the floor, breathing heavily.“ Never knew we were going to make it all alive"Excitement washed through his face.Tyler shifted his gaze to me and Raven. “ Good job pals” his eyes sparkled with excitement.I nodded smoothly. “We did it” Raven didn't say a word. She just lay still on the ground, her expression unreadable.“Are you okay?” I asked her." Yes, I'm fine. Let's rest for a bit," Raven said, her voice softening as she gazed around at her team. "We need to rest before we search for Bruno."The team nodded in agreement, settling down on the cold floorRaven stood up, walking towards a nearby small house inside the den, her eyes drooping as exhaustion washed over her. I followed after her. “ Where are you going?” “ T
Jax's POV I hurried to where Sunny lay with one of the other members of the Crimson Fang attempting to slice him with his sword. Without mercy, I stretched, fought my sword, rubbed its edge at the carved stone in my hands before striking the Crimson Fang member with it and he died right there on top of Sunny.Reaching my hands to Sunny, I pulled him up but realized he was bleeding in his right leg and was unstable. "Stay here” I pulled him to somewhere safe, before rushing to save Ash.“ Help me! help!" Ash cried out.As I ran to save her, thousands of swords began to descend from the sky aiming at me. I stood gallantly and was surprised how I made each of the swords in the air turn into toys. “ How dare you?” I heard one of the members of the Crimson Fang screaming in frustration.I gave out a scornful laugh and the man's anger rekindled. Suddenly, he shoved his head and bees began to fly from all the trees but Raven quickly intervened with her powers, sending the bees back
Raven's POV The darkness suddenly disappeared and everything brightened up. I turned around, oblivious of where we were standing. “ Looks like we were teleported” Tyler said glaring around. Ash turned to Jax and said with confusion in her face. “ I'm not sure if this place is in the city. It's seems we're in a different world altogether” “ Let's continue walking. We'd find the den soon,”Jax replied. We continued walking. I led the way, walking through a narrow ditched road having bushes by its corner. Tyler tapped me gently on the shoulders, his voice waving. “Ghost, are you sure about this whole thing? This place doesn't seem like people live in it” I turned furiously at him, my voice harsh.“ You have to stop being skeptical and just follow. Powers don't just work. You believe it lives inside you before you can enforce it” “ Hey, take it easy. I—I was just saying” Tyler smirked and Ash grumbled. “ But hold on guys. Does anyone feel anything strange? Can we test our gifts befo
Jax's POV We followed the mysterious man, my curiosity growing as he led us into a small yet beautiful and well-decorated room. The aura of the room was thick with a mystical energy, and I could feel a certain breeze cooling me from the inside. As we entered the room, I noticed that the furniture in the room seemed to be sustained in mid-air like those in fairy tales.I exchanged a surprising glance with Tyler who was next to me as we didn't seem to understand anything anymore. No one dared to ask questions, so we just followed the figure till the door was shut behind us."Welcome to my humble home, a place that unravels the hidden potentials of people struggling to find their unique abilities," he said, his voice dripping with warmth as he took his seat before us with the chair in the air moving. Sunny's lips parted and he whispered into Ash's ears. “ Can you see that? He must be a magician” Tyler tapped Sunny's shoulders gently, telling him to keep calm.I watched as Raven w
Jax's POV I stepped out of the hotel, searching the surroundings for any sign of Raven. The rest of the crew was already scattered, searching every corner of the streets for her.Tyler had narrated their ordeal of last night to me—how Raven disappeared into the dark streets trying to catch up with the unfolded danger that struck the city. Why would she even think of endangering her life? What was she thinking of? This attitude of her disappearing without a word, sickens me. I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.I signed, stopping behind the bar to catch my breath. Pain from why my wracked forehead didn't stop killing me. I shouldn't have left the medicine home yesterday but when I didn't see Raven back in the medicine home, I told the traditional doctor to discharge me so I could search for her. The bittersweet irony was that we took separate roads, missing each other.Just as I was about to give up, I saw Tyler together with Ash and Sunny striding towards m
