Raven’s POV

The air between us was thick, hotter than the flames of the bonfire that haunted my memories, on the night I was rejected.

Even after three years, the bond’s scent still lingered, a tether I had learned to bury deep. But now, with Jax standing here, a few feet away from me, it burned again, clawing at the walls I built. I forced myself to ignore it. Ghost didn’t bow to the bonds. Ghost would never bow to him.

“Raven…” His voice cracked, low enough that only I could hear. “It’s really you.”

“ You think?! You got the wrong person,” I cut him off, my eyes cold as I shrugged my shoulders. “It’s Ghost. Raven’s dead...” I swallowed, turning my back to him, “ From the little information we have, it seems Raven died three years ago.”

He stepped closer, searching my face as if the girl he once broke still lingered under the scars. “You can’t deny what’s between us. I can still feel it. Can't you feel the bond, and the pull towards you.”
