ALINA
The first thing I saw when I opened the door was a woman riding my husband in a cowgirl position.
I'd come back for my phone when I heard a moan, and my hand froze on the door handle. I knew I should have walked away, but instead of doing that, I pushed the door open.
She was positioned on him. Her honey-blond hair spilled down her bare back, swaying as she expertly rolled her hips. She tilted her head back, exposing her throat as a loud moan escaped her lips.
“Oh—fuck, yes,” she breathed. “Right there, James. Fuck! Yes, that spot.” Her teeth clamped hard on her bottom lip. “Ah… fuck.”
James grunted as he matched her pace with his hands on her waist. He was gentle as he stroked her skin, instead of gripping her hips and slamming her down as he did with me.
“You feel so good,” he murmured in the most gentle voice I'd ever heard him use. “So tight and wet for me.”
My stomach turned. I gripped the door frame as I watched my husband's face. His eyes were half-lidded and soft as he watched her with a warmth I'd never seen directed at me.
“More,” she gasped. “Please, James, I need—”
“I know what you need, baby.” He sat up, caught her in his arms, and kissed her. He cupped the back of her head with a tenderness that made my chest crack open. “I've got you.”
As I inhaled deeply, I noticed his pheromones filling the room. They were thick, sweet, and intoxicating. This marked the first time in the three years of our marriage that I had caught a hint of them. Until now, I had only experienced the heaviness of his oppressive pheromones.
My knees buckled, and I caught myself on the door frame as a choked sound escaped my throat. Neither of them heard because they were too busy with each other.
“Oh goddess, James. I'm gonna—”
“Cum for me, baby.” His grunt was like a warm blanket. “Let me feel you.”
I didn't stay to watch her do that, or to hear his groan of release—the one I'd never been able to pull from him. I fled, like I should have done from the onset.
I ran out of the house and out of the large gates. None of the guards stopped me as I left. I flagged a cab down and immediately gave him the name of the only bar I knew because he had once brought me there.
Thankfully, I still had cash with me. I shoved through the crowd to the bar, and when I got in, I sat on a stool, slapping a bill on the counter. “Whiskey, please.”
The bartender, a beta, poured without comment. He didn't ask what an omega was doing alone in a bar without an alpha.
I wrapped my fingers around the glass and downed the entire contents in one go, but it wasn't enough to burn me like I wanted.
“Get me another glass.” I dropped another bill on the counter.
He stared at it with a frown before he took the money and the empty glass. He filled my cup and slid it back to me.
I flashed him a smile and downed the entire contents before asking for a refill. I slapped the last bill I had on me on the counter. “Get your strongest drink.”
Though the whiskey was strong, it still couldn’t make me cry. I needed to cry freely to fool myself into believing I wasn’t crying for him.
“This will do.” He slid a glass towards me.
Flashing a grateful smile at him, I downed the entire contents. It burned my throat and caused my eyes to prick at the sides. A blink was all it took for the tears to come. They rolled down my cheeks as I cried my heart out, and I didn't care who saw.
I cried until my eyes hurt before I decided to wash my face. I slid off the stool, and the floor swayed beneath my feet as I made my way to the restroom.
I weaved through the crowd, shouldering past bodies until I got to the hallway. I squinted at the two doors. The stick figure on the left had a triangle shape. I guess that was the one. I pushed through and stepped inside the room.
I frowned at the powerful smell of alpha musk in the air. Though there existed female alphas, none of them had such a strong smell. I blinked, my drunk brain struggling to process the discrepancy, when I noticed how large the mirror was. I was still trying to process what was happening when I heard a zip sound.
I turned and squinted at the man who was standing at the urinal with his sleeves rolled to the elbows. His dark brown hair was cropped short, but it was long enough to make a short ponytail if he wanted.
He looked over his shoulder, and his striking emerald eyes widened slightly. “Wrong door, sweetheart,” he said.
Any sane woman would have apologised and fled, but I didn't. You could blame it on the drink. Instead of leaving, I drew a step towards him.
“Don't stop on my account, handsome,” I slurred.
He frowned as he fastened his pants. “You really need to leave. This isn't a place for a drunk omega, and—”
“I'm not drunk.” I pouted. “At least not that drunk to not know what I'm doing.” I closed the distance between us and placed my palm on his chest. “Are you up for a challenge, handsome?”
He knitted his brows. “Pardon?”
“I want you to fuck me until I forget that cheating bastard,” I whispered, sounding like the slut I was, and the one James always called me.
His jaw tightened. “I don't think—”
“I'll pay.” I wrapped my hand around his neck, knowing I didn't even have any cash with me. “Just make me forget.”
He shook his head. “I don't need your—”
“Please,” I whispered. “Please, I just want to forget him.”
He was still for a long moment, and I thought he would push me away, but he didn't. He wrapped his hand around my waist and lifted me. He settled me on the counter and stood between my knees, placing his forehead against mine. “You wouldn't regret this, right?”
“Why would I when I fucking want it?”
“You better not cry rape when we start.”
“I won't.” I kissed him then. He tasted like mint. For a heartbeat, he didn't respond until I swiped my tongue over his lower lip. He let out a groan and kissed me back. His tongue dove into my mouth as he took mine in a slow waltz.
He slid his hand up my sides, and they brushed against the underside of my breasts through my blouse. I arched into him, whimpering as he did, just like I begged him to.
For the first time since I lost my virginity at 14, I got a taste of getting fucked with pheromones. He was the gentlest man I'd ever slept with, and to think we did it in a public restroom.
I gripped his shoulders as he thrust in gently, while showering me with his pheromones that smelled like the first rain after a blazing winter. And by the time we both climaxed, I was in tears, knowing I would never be able to feel this kind of gentleness again.
RAPHAEL“Raph, come on, don’t do me like that.”I pretended to be more invested in the file spread out in front of me, but I was really trying to listen to what Roman was saying. What was unfair in me saying that I didn’t want him around Alina in any way? There was nothing unfair in that. He needed to learn to behave like an adult, and he needed to be punished for that silly stunt.“She doesn’t even know that you’re not seeing her, so I guess we’re fine.” I grabbed the mug on the table close to me and took a long sip of my coffee. It was late evening, and I shouldn’t even be drinking coffee now, but I needed it to deal with Roman. The minute Kane drove him into the estate, he had snuck into the building through the garage, tiptoeing straight to my home office.“But I know I’m not seeing her,” Roman argued. He gently closed the file in front of me, and when I frowned to push him off, he reached for my face. “Come on, don’t look at me like that. Remember that we are twin brothers. We gr
ALINAIt has been two weeks since I started living with Raphael. Things have been moving better than I expected. When I took his offer, I figured my life with him wouldn't be any different from how it was with James. I had expected worse, and was prepared to do anything he wanted, mainly because of the money and the signed contract. Who would have thought I hit the jackpot? Not only did I get a man who's as attentive as Raphael, but a handsome one. I leaned closer to the window and stared down at him. He was having a play fight with his Beta, Kane. My eyes weren't fixed on Kane, though. They were fixed on Raphael. Shirtless, his muscles were to die for. My gaze travelled over the broad expanse of his chest and the hard lines of his abdomen. His grey sweatpants hung low on his hips, emphasising his frame without even trying.I gulped. My throat suddenly felt drier the more I watched him. I pressed closer to the window to watch him fight. Everything about him was so fucking alluring
RAPHAELRoman was not only unable to control himself, but he was also a creep. Great!I knew he was at the door. Hell, I even sensed him the first time he pushed in to see clearly, so I put on a show for him.Instead of going to close the door tightly, I dug my tongue deeper into Alina, making her moan loudly. Soon, she was falling hard, crying and clenching the sheets. While she was still shaking, I climbed onto the bed to claim her mouth. The kiss tasted like her sobs—salt and pure desire. I claimed her bottom lip tightly, sucking on her tongue when she offered it to me. A small grunt slipped out when she weaved her fingers into my hair, massaging my scalp. But despite how close it seemed we were, I wasn’t satisfied. I wanted more. I angled my cock at her entrance, pulling back to see her reaction as I slid in.“Are you okay?” I whispered against her mouth, and she nodded, shaking softly.“Please… fuck me, Raphael.”Her plea came with a slight tremor that made my cock ache to be ins
ROMANKane has been such a great help so far. At least this way, he would die with me if Raphael decided to kill me.We sat in my room through most of the afternoon in a silence that felt like a heavy rock. The only sounds were the occasional creak of a chair when one of us shifted weight and the distant noise of staff moving somewhere on the lower floors. Kane kept his eyes on the patterned rug. I kept mine on the window and the stretch of manicured lawn beyond it, as if the view might offer some answer I had not already considered a hundred times. Finally he spoke. “You know, you should never have done that.”I dragged a hand through my hair and let out a long breath. “I know. I keep going over it in my head, and I still cannot put the reason into clean words. There is something about the sparkle that shows up in her eyes. It catches me off guard every single time. I walked into her room telling myself I would only check that she was settling in, that she was safe, and the next th
RAPHAELI stood a little apart while the two sisters settled onto the wooden bench beneath the old oak tree at the edge of the courtyard. Afternoon light filtered through the leaves in soft green patches. The sounds of other visiting families drifted around us, laughter and low conversation mixing with the distant ring of another bell somewhere deeper in the academy grounds.Bringing her here was a fucking privilege. Alina’s face was brighter than I had ever seen it. The tightness she usually carried in her shoulders had loosened completely. She kept one arm around Mia and brushed the girl’s longer hair back from her face every few seconds, as if she still needed the repeated proof that her sister was real and within reach.Mia looked so much like Alina that it caught me off guard more than once. They had the same warm brown eyes and the same shape of the mouth when she smiled. The only noticeable difference between them was Mia’s height.I had a dozen questions to ask, but today wa
I was on the edge of my seat the whole ride to her school. I clenched and unclenched my fists, and gulped while imagining how grown she would be. Teens grew fast, I was told. I wouldn't know since I stopped growing at 13. I hadn't added any height since then. But Mia? I believe she would be taller than the last time I saw her. If Raphael noticed how nervous I was, he didn't say a thing. The car stopped, and I didn't even realise we were there until the gates of Uxa's Academy came into view. It had big, old stone gates with a wolf crest carved into them. A dozen other cars were already parked.“You want me to come in with you, or wait?” he asked.I frowned. “Why would you hang out here? Let's go in.”His face softened, and he nodded. “Okay.”We got out of the car and strode into the compound. Uxa's Academy is one of the oldest in the city, but not the most expensive. However, tuition here costs an arm and a leg. I knew how much I'd fought with my mother before she allowed Mia to enr
