Pain.

It was everywhere.

It throbbed beneath my skin, settled deep into my bones, and burned through every breath I took. My ribs screamed whenever I inhaled. The cuts across my arms and back stung as if they had been rubbed with salt, while the bruises covering my body pulsed with a relentless ache.

I sat across from Alpha Kael, barely able to make out his face through my blurry vision.

My face had taken the worst of it. My left eye was swollen almost shut, and my split lip had swollen s

Maya needs to be exiled from Stormfang never to return and it looks like Freya will take the fall for everything AGAIN!! I’m really hoping that Ronan planted that incense burner in Mayas room!!

Ronan“Lyra!”The scream tore out of me before I was even fully awake. My eyes flew open, and my body jerked up with so much force that a sharp pain immediately shot through my head. A groan escaped my lips as I instinctively pressed a hand against my temple. For a few seconds, everything around me was nothing but a blur. The ceiling above me looked unfamiliar. The room smelled faintly of herbs and something medicinal. My entire body felt strangely heavy, like I had been buried beneath a mountain and only just managed to crawl out.“Lyra?”Where was Lyra? And where the hell was I?I frowned as fragments of memory began rushing back: the training arena, the chaos, the powerful energy, Lyra's unconscious body. Then nothing. My eyes widened. The last thing I remembered was seeing Lyra lying unconscious before everything went black… So how had I ended up here?Just then,

  • Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned By Fate   The Mask Finally Falls

KaelAlmost immediately, the door opened. Craig stepped inside, and Ingrid followed behind him.The moment Alara saw her, something flickered across her face, but she was quick to mask it. Her expression became confused again.Ingrid, however, looked completely different. She was shaking like a leaf. Her head remained lowered, and she refused to meet my eyes.I turned back toward Alara.“For a while now, I’ve wondered why your treatment hasn’t produced any results yet despite all the resources and everything.”“Why you kept having episode after episode.”Alara swallowed, her fingers tightening around the blanket. Her face remained carefully blank.“I had my suspicions… But suspicion isn't proof. So I waited. And then you gave me the perfect opportunity when you lost consciousness.”Something changed in her eyes just for a moment… A flicker of fear crossed her eyes before she quickly buried it.

  • Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned By Fate   Visiting Alara

KaelThe moment I entered the room, my gaze immediately landed on Alara. She was lying on the bed, her body partially covered by the blankets. Her face looked pale, and there were faint shadows beneath her eyes that made her appear even more fragile than usual. The moment she noticed me, a faint smile appeared on her lips.“Kael, you're here.”She slowly pushed herself upright, wincing like the simple movement had caused her considerable pain. She let out a small groan, and one hand instinctively went to her side as she adjusted herself against the headboard.I walked over to the chair beside her bed and sat down.“How are you doing?”Alara lowered her gaze, and a long sigh escaped her lips.“I’m fine.” Her fingers slowly curled into the sheets as her voice trembled. “I’m fine, Kael. Please… Please don’t hold what happened to Lyra against her. It wasn't Lyra's fault.”She paused, then clenched

Kael“She is the daughter of a Beta. She carries strong Beta genes. She is a woman everyone can respect as Luna. Not some useless, wolfless girl!”I rubbed my temples slowly, trying to contain the growing frustration in me. The moment I had revealed that Lyra was my fated mate and that she was wolfless, everything had changed. All hell practically broke loose.Uncle Jacob had been complaining for what felt like hours. He paced back and forth in front of my desk, his expression growing darker with every word, while I simply kept quiet out of respect. He was my uncle, after all.But even my patience had limits… And he was dangerously close to reaching mine.“That’s enough, Uncle Jacob.” My hand fell from my temple as I straightened in my chair and narrowed my gaze at him.“You’ve made your opinion clear.”He opened his mouth, but I raised a hand.“No. Let me finish. You asked me about Lyra, and I answered

  • Rejected By The Alpha, Crowned By Fate   The Choice I Had To Make

LyraI looked at the silver amulet resting against my palm.My fingers brushed over its smooth surface, tracing every familiar curve as if touching it could somehow transport me back to a time when my life had been simple.A time when I had been truly happy.A time when I had still had my family.Pulling my mother's amulet closer to my chest, I pressed it against my heart.“Mom… Dad… I miss you both so much.”The words barely escaped my lips before my chest tightened. How much I would give to return to those days.To wake up at the mountain resort and hear the familiar sounds of home.To sit with Mom and Dad and complain about the smallest things, never realizing just how precious those ordinary moments were.A tear slipped down my cheek as a bitter smile tugged at my lips.If someone had told the old Lyra that her life would one day become this complicated, I would have laughed in their face.Yet here I was.It had been two days. Two whole days since Kael had left with Alara, and he s

Kael“Alpha Kael.”Craig’s voice pulled me out of the thoughts that had been circling endlessly through my mind.Turning toward the doorway, my brows furrowed when I saw the serious expression on his face.“What is it?”Craig stepped farther into the room and bowed his head slightly.“Alpha Jacob Draven is here.”I frowned. “My uncle?”“Yes. He just arrived in the pack and said he has something urgent to discuss with you.”Uncle Jacob was here? Why?He hadn't informed me that he was coming to the pack. In fact, there hadn't been so much as a message or a call to inform me of his arrival.Something about that immediately felt wrong. My gaze instinctively drifted toward the bed.Alara remained unconscious, her body lying still beneath the blankets. So much had happened in such a short period that it felt like there was never enough time to deal with one problem before another came crashing down.I let out a heavy sigh, stood up, and gave Alara one last look before turning away.“Let's g

LyraGrowing up, I had always been told that there was no greater love in the world than the love in a matebond. It was deeper than love, stronger than loyalty, and more powerful than anything else. But then, I had also been told about the darker side of the bond. A love this strong could become a

KaelI couldn’t believe it.Out of all the cruel jokes the Moon Goddess could have played on me, this had to be the worst one yet.Nine years.Nine fucking years of waiting for the woman destined to stand beside me as Luna.My fated mate. And now that I had finally found her…She was wolfless. The

Kael“Fucking asshole!”I rubbed my temple in irritation as Asher's furious voice exploded inside my head.“Will you shut up already?”The damn mutt had been yelling at me nonstop ever since I left Lyra's room.“No, I won’t shut up!” Asher barked furiously. “What the hell was that?”I shot back, “Y
