Chapter 20

Lyra's POV.

His question kept ringing in my mind as the night went by.

Why am I so bothered about this?

I lay in bed and stared out at the open moon, the crickets seemed to be happy and quiet that particular night as they went silent that very night.

Very unusual of their chirpy selves.

I couldn't sleep, so I tossed and turned in bed all night.

I wondered why, there were several answers I could come up with.

No, let's make that three.

Three answers to the question posed to me by Rune.

I remembered the heated moment I had with Lucas and shivers as a chill ran down my spine. I was restless.

I lay and argued with my body and mind just to arrive at those three options.

“Arghh,” I groaned, “Time to put this restlessness to good use by finding the answer to who and what I am,”

I had a flashback of the time I had with Lucas again and was determined to get out of bed and occupy my mind with something else.

An idle mind is the devil's workshop they say, but I think mine is Lucas' workshop.
