Three years later)

AMAIRA

Bang!

I drop to my knees on feeling my Luna's hand connect with the side of my cheeks, trembling as I grab my sore cheeks, tears running down my face.

"You're a mistake... a nobody... an abomination, and yet you can't even do anything right, can you?"

My heart clenches in pain at each hurtful word she throws at me and I glance down, shaking badly, waiting as she stalks off before the kitchen shuts with a loud noise.

It was 12:00am midnight, and as I lay on the cold kitchen floor, alone and shivering, recountering how my life has turned to this.

Barely nine years, I lost my family to rogues, and one thing led to another, and I was led here to Moon Claw's pack, expecting loving and caring people like my family, but Instead, I was tossed aside and given the status of an Omega.

I was mistreated, spat on, beaten and hit, and it only grew worse when at 12 I was unable to shift.

I prayed to the Moon goddess, hoping my situation did change, and I'd get to live my happy life the way I dreamed of.

But she never did.

She never answered me.

I stood at the sidelines watching my mistress talk and laugh with her friends while slurping on alcohol.

I just hoped Audrey wouldn't get drunk from drinking so much. How was I supposed to explain this to her father when we got home?

Besides, I would be the one to be punished on her behalf since the Alpha's beloved daughter was spoilt and given all she wanted.

While me?

Who was I even?

I was a wolf-less Omega who worked as the Alpha's daughter's slave in Moon Claw's pack. I got to be punished and mistreated like a ragdoll; even by the fellow Omegas in the Alpha's mansion.

There was a slight, swollen red bruise against my cheek as I stood at the corner of the party wearing one of Audrey's old worn-out clothes while waiting for her to be done with whatever we came here for.

It was my duty to ensure she was back and after getting hit across the face by Audrey for spilling her drink and sent to stand at the corner like a drenched puppy, I'm infuriated and tears pool in my eyes at the mistreatment.

I just wished my situation would change, but who am I too wish something like that when I am a nobody, an abomination. I'm more human since I don't even have my wolf.

If Selena did help me out of this, I'll be dumbfounded.

Alpha Damien of Silver fur's pack threw an annual, end of the year party for all the packs in the werewolf territory, and of course everyone had to acknowledge his invitation.

No one dared to offend the ruthless and cruel Alpha. He was known for his fierce and aggressive nature and known to use women as tools of pleasure in his bed.

However, the main reason he called for this party was so that he could find his mate. I was a servant, so I knew so many things which I couldn't help but overhear when my masters and mistresses discussed.

Apparently, the elders of silver fur's pack had pestered him into calling this party because they felt he needed a Luna who would be the backbone of the Alpha while ruling the pack.

Because of this, people like Audrey dressed to kill while coming for the party, hoping they'd get to be the chosen one.

Women of all backgrounds, shapes and sizes pranced about the dancefloor, hoping to catch the attention of the Alpha who sat on a high chair with the elders and Beta as they watched them dance and party.

Every single woman in there aimed to be his Luna and Audrey was no exception. The problem was... they were scared of him.

With that sexy, taunt jaw of his and probing blue eyes, he was capable of sending a woman to her knees without exacting his aura.

Even his ripped muscles couldn't be hidden under his clothes, and my mouth subconsciously watered watching the wind toss his shiny black curls to and fro atop his head as he sat there like a prince charming, scanning the room with his eyes as if searching for something interesting.

Even I as a lowly servant knew someone like Alpha Damien would never be interested in me. It's like comparing me to Audrey. She was beautiful, from a popular and influential background and .. she was just perfect.

While I was a lowly servant, an Omega with no rankings in the werewolf territory. I didn't have a wolf, I had bruises all over my body from being beaten by even the fellow servants at home, and I didn't have a family I could run too.

If I think I could get a chance with the Alpha, then I must really be joking. Besides, the Alpha looked scary and might rip anyone's head off if they approached him. The air around him was heavy and suffocating, evident enough as to why no woman wanted to come close to him but just admire him from afar.

As I kept my eyes fixed on where the Alpha sat, he suddenly turned to me and my eyes widened as I glanced down to the ground, fidgeting, my heart beat racing on feeling his probing eyes burning a hole through my head.

It was wrong of me to stare at him like that, and I was sure he'd call me out to get punished.

However, when I glanced up, his gaze had moved somewhere else and I breathed a sigh of relief before focusing my attention on Audrey who was now completely drunk and was playing a game of truth and dare with her drunk friends.

"Hey... you... come here." One of her friends, Laura called out to me and with trembling footsteps I reached their gathering and bowed.

One of her friends who I knew as Alpha John's daughter, Mia suddenly spoke up.

"Audrey, why did you bring your lowly servant here to the party in the first place?"

"Maybe she thinks she has a chance with the Alpha." One said and they all burst out laughing, even Audrey, and I squeezed my fist as I held back my tears of shame and embarrassment . I have quite gotten used to this humiliation.

"Come on guys," Audrey suddenly spoke up, trying hard to open her eyes which had turned drowsy from having been drunk. "You all wanted her to participate in the game, now she's here. Give her a chance."

"Whatever." Laura said before turning to me with an evil smile, and I gulp.

Why did they want me to participate in their game? They were obviously up to no good.

"Truth or dare." Laura asked me, her voice drowsy.

"Truth." I slowly replied.

"You know what... I pick dares." She suddenly said and her friends snickered. I was going to protest, but I kept mute.

She was an Alpha's daughter too.

Protesting would only mean I was challenging her.

"I dare you to..... " Her voice drew off and I could tell she was really drunk, but my heart momentarily stopped for a minute when she pointed to the exact spot where the Alpha sat, talking with his Beta. "... flirt with the Alpha."

I turn towards the Alpha, sitting there, exuding a dangerous suffocating aura, his charming blue eyes scanning the arena and I gulp.

Looking at those blue eyes has me wondering where I have seen those midnight blue orbs before.

They're familiar, yet I don't remember where and when I've seen him.
