ASHLEY’S POV

“Who are you?” He asked me.

I swallowed. “My name is Ashley.”

“What pack do you belong to? And where are you headed? Don’t you know that this place is filled with rogue wolves? Are you new here?” He asked me.

In fact I had no idea that the rogues packs had gotten close.

I had heard more than enough tales about how dangerous it was getting outside.

But I had never thought about it.

“No I didn’t.” I said. “I was not aware of the rogue packs roaming the territory.”

“We will give you a lift to where you’re headed.” He offered.

It seemed more like an order than a request.

I shook my head. “No there would be no need for that. I am okay on my own. Jeff is fine and that’s all that matters. I just wanted to help. I’ll be on my own.”

“I insist.” He said.

Yup, he was definitely ordering me and I had no say in the matter.

Jeff held my hand. “You saved my life. There might still be more of those bad people out there.”

I didn’t have my bag that I had packed some of my belongings
