Chapter 49

EVANGELINE

William took me to a decent restaurant in the middle of town.

It wasn’t anything too fancy, but it also wasn’t shabby. The people were mostly dressed in business casual outfits and simple dresses. I looked a bit out of place in my jeans and top, but no one really paid us any attention.

“They serve the best seafood pasta here,” William told me as we sat down. “You need to try it at least once.”

“Well, if you say it’s good then who am I to refuse?”

When the waiter came, I ordered the seafood pasta. He did the same, and I was truly impressed when the food came out within twenty minutes. I took a bite of the pasta and had to bite back a moan from how good it was.

“This is… fuck, William,” I managed out. “How did you find out about this place?”

“I was bored one day and decided to check out a few places,” he grinned, seemingly pleased with himself. “I fell in love ever since.”

“I’m so jealous that you didn’t tell me about them sooner. This is about to become my new favorite place
