When I arrived in Valemont, something seemed off. I sensed it even before I passed the gates.

Too quiet.

There was no laughter from the courtyard, no guards chatting in the entrance area, and no servants scurrying between the buildings.

My wolf began to feel uncomfortable.

I shifted back to my human form. "Where is everybody?"

No one gave an answer.

A guard ran toward me. "Alpha…"

"Where is Leo?" I don’t know why, but that was the first question that came to my mind.

The man's face changed.

  • Rejected Luna of The Cursed Alpha   Ride Together

The border crossing at the river divide was covered in a light morning mist, but the atmosphere in the air was so tense that it was literally cutting bone. Draven's royal sentinels marched in rows along the southern ridge, their weapons in hand and lowered according to his strict instructions.I was standing next to Draven in the vanguard, the wind pulling at my cloak and my fingers firmly holding the silver pendant under the tunic. The fear and anger in my heart were beating like mad, counting every second as eternities stolen from my baby boy.The sound of rhythmic gallop interrupted the silence of the woods. A dozen riders showed up at the Valemont trail on the massive black stallion. Kael dismounted from the animal almost before it stopped completely. Leather armor was untied on the collar, his hair was tousled after the intense ride and his bloodshot eyes were full of the wild rage burning in them."Draven!" Kael yelled, approaching our lines with powerful strides. A few of his w

  • Rejected Luna of The Cursed Alpha   The News

Aria's POVEarly morning light filtered through the high arches of the windows in my chambers, spreading pale lines across the stone floor. I woke up to the lingering echo of a strange dream that I can't remember. My chest felt heavy. I knew something was wrong before anyone came to tell me.It was not a vision. There was no sudden pain in my head or strange whisper from my blood. It was simply a feeling that settled over meI sat up, pushing the heavy blankets off myself, and put my bare feet down onto the cold floor. The pendant on my sternum stopped glowing with magic and started resonating with a distinct hum of its own. I threw on a black tunic and pulled my hair into a tail, planning on finding Mother and Mother Elara in the herbal room. However, as soon as I stepped into the main corridor of the packhouse, I realized that the peace of dawn was nowhere to be found.Something unusual hung in the air, making my skin tingle, reminding me of my earlier feelings. I don’t know why, but that was the first question that came to my mind. The man's face changed. That was enough. My blood turned cold. "Where is my son?"The guard opened his mouth, but nothing came out.I grabbed him by the collar. "Where is Leo?""Alpha, we…""WHERE IS MY SON?" I roared at him.Several wolves shifted uncomfortably.Fear appeared in the guard's eyes. "He is gone."I couldn't breathe. "What?""He's..." His voice cracked. "He's been taken."I released him.For one second, I couldn't do anything. Then the world exploded. "WHO?" My roar tore the air. "WHO TOOK HIM?"Warriors gat

  • Rejected Luna of The Cursed Alpha   Smoke Signals

Kael’s POVI didn't say a word until we were miles away from Draven's lands. The forest swallowed the sight of the palace far behind us, but the memory wouldn't leave my head. Not because of the fight. But because of what happened during it.I've heard the rumors.Everybody has.The cursed alpha, who can't shift. The king, ruling without the power of his wolf.I've always assumed that those rumors have been exaggerated.I've been wrong."Alpha."James's voice brought me back from my thoughts. Looking ahead, I asked. "What?"He hesitated. "The attack.""I know." Some pack had attacked my patrols, I had thought they were from the cursed alpha as payback for what I had done in his pack, maybe because I wanted to take Aria from him. I hadn’t just suspected him for any random reason.I had suspected him because they had come from this way.And maybe I had suspected him because I had a personal vendetta for him. He had stolen my woman. He had held her in his territory and convinced her to n

  • Rejected Luna of The Cursed Alpha   When Alphas Clash

Aria’s POVI woke up smiling, I didn’t know why at first. Then I felt his arm firmly holding my waist.Draven.His breathing was even, and his face was calm during his sleep.I paid attention to him.His hair was slightly disheveled, and there was something quite boyish about his sleeping face, which never happened when he was sitting on the throne.Or when he was performing his kingly duties.I touched his forehead with my hand, brushing his hair from it.His eyes opened. "Are you admiring me?"I froze. "No…. I mean…” I spanked his shoulders. “…leave me be.”His mouth curved in a thin smile. "You were.""I was making sure you were still alive.""How thoughtfully of you.""I was worried about you.""Of course."I smiled. He pulled me closer, nuzzling his face against the crook of my neck. "You are terrible at lying.""So are you.""I wasn't lying.""About what?""About admiring you." Heat spread over my face."Go to sleep then.""I've just woken up.""Then close your eyes."He laughed

  • Rejected Luna of The Cursed Alpha   What You Could Do

Elena smiled sadly. "Exactly what Elyra tried to show them." She reached for my face. "Remind them that they aren't untouchable."I stared at her. "And what if they won't listen?"Her expression hardened. "Then you protect yourself." She paused. "But never become what they want you to be."I nodded slowly.Mother Elara was quiet during the whole conversation.Elena looked at the silver pendant hanging on my neck. "That pendant."I touched it. "What about it?"Elena's eyes remained on the pendant. "It is the first Nullifier relic. It belonged to Elyra." She finally looked at me. "Aria..." Her voice was different now.My fingers tightened around the pendant. "The first Nullifier relic?" I repeated.Mother nodded slowly. "That is what I said.""It's more than a hundred years, how come it’s still new?""I know. It is supposed to look dull and faded.”"I don’t understand?"Her gaze was fixated on the silver. "When I gave it to you, it was dull."Chills ran up my spine. "What!"Elena looked
