A small table was placed near her with a jar and a cup of water along with a piece of bread and dried meat. There were also some white pieces of cloth folded neatly beside the place as if Dylan was telling her to change her wretched clothes. The lamp that was hanging near the pillar had almost ran out of flame and the dozens of rushed footsteps from different directions right outside her tent were a telltale sign that the war had taken a pause but it was yet to end.

“I am in an Alliance encampment,” said Diana as realization dawned upon her. After taking all the pieces together, she was a hundred percentile sure that the blood alpha had brought her in the encampment.

‘Then, the abominations and Shananel did not chase us. What about Gelong?’

Though staggering, Diana stood from the makeshift bed and walked around – her bare feet did not deter upon the contact with the cold ground. Her frantic eyes landed on the crescent-shaped blade which was now clean compared to what she remembered. T
