Chapter twenty one

Elora's POV

He stared at me for a while, seemingly as though he was trying to find meaning in what I just said, then he looked down at Danica.

“What are you doing in her room in the first place?” He asked.

“Are you supposed to be asking me that?” She forced herself back on her feet, staring at him in disgust. “I came here to apologize for all the hurtful words I said. Shouldn’t that be the right thing?” She added.

“What? You came here to chase me out instead, so stop lying or pretending like you are some good person here!” I chirped in quickly after being surprised at how fast she was able to divert my accusation to paint herself in a good picture.

“Stop saying gibberish words to save yourself from what you did. You attacked me just now, and Devlin himself saw it!” She retorted.

“That’s because—“

“That’s enough!” Devlin shut me off as he gave her a helping hand, leading her out of the room. Before she left, she gave me a wink while I snorted in anger.
