5 - Hidden The Baby

"Don't touch her," Matthias pulled my hand away from the other Alpha prince, causing me to fall into his embrace. "According to the caste hierarchy in our families, I have the right to touch her first. The rest of you, leave before I break each of your necks one by one."

"Matthias, what are you saying?" William seemed displeased with this sudden decision. "You yourself said you didn't want to be Isabelle's mate. What does this mean?"

"Shut up!" Matthias snapped loudly, silencing the luxurious room. His grip on me was strong, and I stood frozen like a statue, unable to believe that Matthias, who despised me so much, could touch me so intimately. And he, furious at seeing me touched by another Alpha.

"All of you, leave before I destroy you," Matthias repeated his words, not taking it lightly this time.

"Tsk!" William clicked his tongue in frustration. He didn't like Matthias' arbitrary claim on me, but there was nothing anyone could do against Matthias in this situation.

And so, the four Alpha princes left, carrying the flames of their anger. Finally, it was just Matthias and me in the room. It was just the two of us, and I remained in his embrace. I faced him, not hearing the thunderous beating of my heart thanks to his touch.

"Let's not misunderstand," Matthias finally spoke. His voice remained cold, but he still didn't release me from his embrace. "I'm doing this out of pity. I just don't want to see chaos in my kingdom. To me, you're still the poor Omega who's unworthy to be my mate."

I, who had hoped Matthias was starting to like me, felt disappointed once again by his words. Slowly, his embrace loosened. I thought he would leave me again.

However, the two of us encountered an unexpected event. William, who disagreed with Matthias' selfishness, intentionally sent Estella to this room to catch us together.

"Stupid Omega! What are you doing to my Alpha!" Estella grabbed my hair, and I groaned in pain. This was similar to what happened with Anastasia, where she misunderstood that I had seduced Matthias because William had manipulated us both.

"How dare you touch Matthias! I can't allow this! You must leave this palace!" Estella screamed at me. She called royal guards to drag me away from the palace.

"Please, this is a misunderstanding! I will leave this place, but please don't hurt me!" Dragged away by them, I could only plead for mercy. At the very least, don't hurt my baby.

"Better you to silent, cheap Omega." The guard didn't care and forced me away roughly.

Before I was completely expelled from the palace, I managed to glance at Matthias. He continued to look at me with an indescribable expression. His face was silent, but I knew he wanted to say something.

Unfortunately, the royal guards had already kicked me out of the palace. I had no money at all. Now officially homeless, I spent the whole day standing on the side of the road without a destination.

"Hey, beautiful Omega. What are you doing out this late? Don't you have a home?" An older Alpha approached me as I sat on the street, with an empty stomach.

"Do you need a place to stay? I can give you a job and a room." He offered.

"But I've never worked in a city before," I replied. Despite wanting this job badly, considering I now lived alone, I needed an income for my future child.

"Don't worry. The job is very easy ..." The old man pointed to a building not far from the palace. It looked like a restaurant for noble Alphas.

Was he asking me to work there?

The old man kept his promise. I was immediately taken to the luxurious restaurant, and I was given a job on the spot. They made me wear a servant's uniform, and I served the Alphas who were guests there.

I had no time to be tired or think. Everything happened so quickly. The old man who gave me this job asked me to take an order for an Alpha at table number 17.

"Excuse me, Your Highness. I bring the dish you ordered." Carefully, I placed the food on the guest's table.

I was extremely tired after standing all day without eating or drinking. And during my time at the palace, I hadn't rested at all. When I brought the order to the visitor, my foot stumbled on my gown, and I almost fell. The food I was carrying almost fell and hit the guest.

I almost lost my job if one of the restaurant's visitors hadn't saved me. I almost fell if a hand hadn't caught me, and he helped me with the food.

"Oh God ... I apologize, Your Highness. Are you okay?" Helped by a noble Alpha, I felt guilty. I knelt in front of him and apologized.

But the Alpha who helped me remained silent. Curious, I raised my head to see his face.

"M-Matthias?" Who would have thought that after being expelled from the palace, I could call that name again?

I didn't know what he was doing in a place like this, but Matthias was the one who helped me when I almost fell earlier.

"Isabelle." For the first time, Matthias called my name. His lips, which usually sneered and belittled me, were different. Unlike me, who was shocked not only by his presence but also because Matthias already knew I was working there.

"What ... What are you doing here?" I asked. Matthias remained silent. And his gaze, looking at my stomach, made me uncomfortable.

I quickly walked away. I didn't want to deal with him anymore. I was too tired to resist; I chose to raise this child on my own without him.

"Please return to the palace with me." Matthias' voice sounded so soft in my ears.

I looked at him in disbelief. Was this a dream? Matthias, who was so cruel, was now begging for me to come back?

"What about Estella?" I bit my lip to suppress the pain in my chest. I asked that, but Matthias continued to stare at me.

"If I come back, what about Estella? You said yourself you didn't want to marry a poor Omega like me, even though I'm pregnant with your child," I asked again. This time, I hoped Matthias could give a better answer than before.
