~ Nathan’s POV

The sniveling maids turned to me, and they both gasped when they saw the look on my face. I had never hurt a woman before in my life, and I had never felt tempted to. But, seeing the devastated look that had crossed Bella's face at her words made my fangs and claws pop out.

The one that had called me handsome gave me a hurt look before turning to her scared friend. They then hurriedly put down the tray of food and drink they had been carrying before scurrying out of the room.
