Nathan’s POV

“We should leave now, Albert,” I said to him after a while. The pain in my chest lingered, although it had died down a little bit a few minutes ago. However, it still throbbed and burned especially whenever I thought of the pain poor Albert must have been going through at that moment.

Although I had lost my mother when I was still little and I was just five years old, as I had told Albert. However, despite the fact that it happened a long time ago, I still hurt and feel sad whenever I think about my mom.

My mom, a sweet and caring soul, had been the rock of our little pack, back when our lack was still little and growing. She had been my dad's loving partner, a trusted friend to our pack mates, and, most importantly, a loving mom to me. The memories of those times played in my head like a sad movie, each scene etched with the pain that shaped my early years.
