Sarah's Pov

I was relieved to have finally left the lion's den. I didn't go back to the quarter since I was sure Olivia would still be with her master. She was lucky to always end up with such a nice master while I, on the other side, kept going from fire to fire.

My mouth still tastes like burnt eggs and I hated it. I needed to ask Olivia to teach me how to cook to avoid further problems like this in the future. I went to a quiet spot in the pack that I had discovered during the patrol. It has a small bench and was located at a secluded and seemingly abandoned party of the Pack.

I sat on the dusty bench and began reminiscing about my life at my former pack. My life at my pack was not different from my life here, My mum often treated me like I was a slave. I would work from morning to evening with only a little to eat. I always wondered why my mother didn't like me and even thought she was the worst person in the world until my dad sold me out.
