The nights were getting colder, so Zand put one of his jackets around my shoulders before we walked outside.

Freya was standing guard outside the door.

I gave her a tray of food earlier from our dinner, and I was pleased to see that it was empty now.

I hoped Zand would not make them stand guard for too much longer.

They were more than just bodyguards to us.
