ROSHIDA
As I sat in my room that night, I felt like a fool. It was now my room because Felix had come in and said that he was now going to be sleeping with Kelly. Of course, I should have seen that coming. After everything that I'd done for this family, all because I felt that I had a new family. Felix didn't have a lot of money before. He was a Beta with little to nothing going for him so of course, when I married him, it meant that I had to do something for him and his family. I'd started by taking over his mother's medical bills. When he left, she was in dire need to help and I didn't think twice before paying for everything. Now, he's come back to see her in better shape and he didn't even say anything to me. The only thing he could do was bring another woman home with him. I should have seen it coming right from the start. The way he agreed to marry me without knowing anything about me. I didn't want to blame my mother for my present predicament. She had only done what she thought was right. I wonder what kind of man he thought she was and what he had done to make her think he was a right fit for me. It was an act of desperation, probably she'd only looked at his fighting skills, hoping that he'd be able to protect me if need be from people who want to take over my father's property. I was the last living person from my father's house. One day we were a loving family of six, my mother, my father, my three brothers and I and the next thing I know, I was saying goodbye to my mother on her death bed while having just noticed my father and brothers. Growing up, I never really knew my family. “Your father, when you were born, saw how fragile you were. Maybe it was an Alpha thing but he saw that you were different. His little baby girl, he didn't want you to be hurt growing up around your rough brothers.” My mother had told me one day when I'd asked why I wasn't raised with my brothers. My father had sent me to be raised with a group of warriors and there, I'd been trained to be a fighter. It was all I knew, all I woke up to everyday. It's one thing I thanked my father for. Because of him, I was never able to be bullied even though I was a girl. He wasn't far from the truth. I never got my wolf when the time came. At that point, I thought there was something wrong with me and I was being treated like an outcast despite being the Alphas daughter. By the time I would return home, I was not able to spend a lot of time with my father and brothers. They went to fight off the rogues that had been seeming to invade our lands and they never made it back. I'd been with my mother the day they brought four purple coffins to the throne room. I remember just standing there and looking at them because the tears wouldn't come. It was after the burial that my mother's health began to decline. I guess the shock of losing her husband and almost all her kids did so much to her. Maybe that was why she felt that she had to secure my future by looking for a husband for me. Out of all the men that came forward, I remember that Felix had not even been a part of the people if found attractive.. But my mother was looking for something else. “He’s the only one with a sincere heart. He's the only one who didn't care that you didn't have a wolf. He said he would take care of you. He said you will be his priority. I just want a man that will treat you right.” I'd trusted her judgement, I'd thought that he'd shown her his real side and I'd gone ahead with it. I should have asked to speak to him in person, though I doubt I would have known the truth by myself. Just like that, I had agreed to be married to a man that would leave me for another three months after our wedding. Who was I to blame now? My dead mother who just wanted to look into for me? Myself for not hesitating to marry a man I barely knew?Or Felix for seeing an opportunity and grabbing it?
The door opened and his mother walked in. I turned away from her and rolled my eyes, knowing that she was going to say something that would piss me off. ”You should come down and greet Kelly. After all, she's going to be Luna. You should pay respect to her.” I didn't answer her. “Besides, since you'll be planning the wedding, you should meet her so you'll know her taste.” Everything in me wanted to tell her to get out. “Also Felix wants to give you the budget for the wedding. He doesn't want you spending too much on the wedding since they'll be having kids immediately after.” That was what got me to look at her. “I don't understand.” “What don't you understand? You'll be sponsoring the wedding. He just returned from a war and you don't expect him to spend all that money, do you? They didn't plan for this to happen so give them a break.” I couldn't help but laugh. That's all I could do. Laugh. “You have to be joking. That has nothing to do with me. I'm not spending all that money on their wedding.” Her face changed to that deep frown of hers. “Well, you're going to have to. There's no money in this house and I will not allow my son to be disgraced. You will spend every dime you have, if you have to.” I should sponsor the wedding of my husband with another woman? Over my dead body. If they wanted to kill me, they might as well goa head and do it. Fiona walked.in and joined the conversation. “Mother, why are you wasting your time with her? Forget about her. She'll do what she has to do even if she doesn't like it.” Both mother and child stood in front of me and laughed in my face and I just froze, not even being able to say anything for myself. I didn't react until they slammed the door shut behind me. This had to be a joke.ROSHIDA A FEW MONTHS LATER. It was a sunny day. A perfect day for the perfect event. But I had meetings. Being Minister for Trade really wasn't what I thought it was going to be. I thought that since I already worked at the Fortress, it would be like that but it wasn't like that at all. I barely had time to stay home anymore and my schedule was always so busy. No matter how busy I was, I always made time for my son. He mattered to me and I knew that he needed me in his life. He had started walking which made me very proud. He was really growing up to be a big boy. He didn't even crawl all that much. Just straight to walking. He was strong just like his mother. For the first time in a long time things seemed to be normal. I knew that saying that would jinx it but I didn't mind. Because I liked the peace. I liked the stability that came with this period, waking up every day and knowing that it was going to be a peaceful day. There was obvious still a little trouble
ROSHIDA My eyes opened to the bright light pouring into the room. My body aches and I felt so weak that it was a struggle to keep my head stable. I tried to move but a sharp pain pieced my side. ”Roshida, you're awake. Gosh, I was so worried!” Sophia came to sit beside me and she held my hand. “Water.” My throat hurt so bad because of how parched it was. As she handed me the water, I noticed that the bottle had a straw because it looked like a cup. Normally, she would have told me to sit up. “What’s going on? Why am I on the bed? And why do I feel like this? Did I go running again?” It was only when I went running that I felt like this. My body didn't like being stressed at all. “You were stabbed..I found you on the floor covered in your own blood. Half the rug was ready soaked and I didn't even know what to do so I just brought you up her so I laid my hands on you.” The fact that Sophia had powers wss no news to me but the fact that she chose to use it s
2VALFRED“Thats because your whole house is wired! They bugged your house and now you think they can hear you think. How stupid are you that you didn't realize this?”How long had he been going around saying stupid shit like that? There was no way that he actually believed all that. But that was besides the point. The point was that I wanted to know the person that was funding his life style and giving him the confidence to threaten the King. “Alpha Lucas, if you make me ask the question again-”He raised his hand to protect his head. “Okay okay, I'm coming. It's- it's the Rogues.” It was like I hadn't heard what he said. What Rogues?“We took out the Rogues. We took their camp and their pack. Do you think I'm stupid?”He was just saying that to avoid saying the actual thing. “Wait! Wait! Wait! I'm serious. It's the Rogues. I'll show you something.” He stood up to bring a letter for me from his desk. When I took the letter, the first thing I noticed was the letterhead. That was
ROSHIDAWhen I saw her, it was too late. I'd woken up that morning extremely tired because of the things that had happened last night. Valfred and I had crossed that line and there was no going back now. That wasn't an issue though. This was a man that I completely trusted and I knew he would never disappoint me.I went to take a shower because I had to be somewhere with the Queen today. She said she wanted me to go somewhere with her since Clarissa wasn't around and she needed female advice. I loved having the Queen around and I accepted the invitation as soon as possible. On my way to the bathroom, I saw Valfred note. “Dear Roshida, I'm sorry I had to leave before you woke up. I would have really loved to wake up to you in my arms and to your beautiful face but I have to go do this one small thing and then I'll be back. Don't miss me and have a day as beautiful as you. Your love, Valfred.”The note was very short but I kept reading it over and over. He could have just sent t
VALFREDWe walked around the house for a while, going from room to room to check for him but we couldn't find him anywhere. “My Prince, don't you think that he has run away? I mean, only a stupid person would see the princess here and would still want to stay. Only a Stupid person would let his daughter take his beating.” I think Borge was about to meet the most senseless person I've ever met. “Let’s go downstairs. We went downstairs to soeak to the guards. It was obvious that they didn't like us being here which was no problem because we did not like being here but we didn't have a choice. “Listen up, all of you. I'm not here for you so don't make this your war. Don't make this about you. Where is your Alpha? He's not in his rooms.”They looked at each other like they were waiting for one of them to be the one to say something. When one person finally stepped forward, the rest of them wanted to hold him back but he pushed their hands off him. “Why are you protecting him? You kn
VALFREDThe next morning, I set out very early. I didn't want to draw attention to the whole thing so I took only Borge and Reggie with me just as Roshida had asked me to. As I stood up and began to dress up, I looked down at her sleeping figure on the bed.My sweet girl. Roshida was my blessing and she was the only thing that could make me happy. I hurried up with what I was doing and on my way out, I placed a kiss on her forehead, whispering that I would surely be here by nightfall. I closed the door behind me, going downstairs to meet with Reggie and Borge who were already waiting for me. We got into the car, not wasting time since we had a very long way to go. I was beginning to hate going to this place but I don't have a choice. Hopefully, this was the last time I would have to go there. As soon as I get what I'm doing over with, I'll leave and not go back. The car ride was silent because everyone had just woken up from sleep and was trying to get their thoughts together. “
ROSHIDAWhen the King said that he would give me everything back, I didn't mean that he meant that I would even be added to more titles. He was made the Minister for Trade for the whole Lycan Kingdom and it blew me away. After dinner, I went to stand by the balcony and just let the fresh air hit me. I wondered if I would ever get free from that cell again and it was starting to feel real while I was in that place. I didn't have any faith either that Valfred would find a way out for me but I wanted to keep an open mind . I felt hands wrap around me from behind and I smiled widely, knowing who would be able to do a thing like that to me. “I should have known you'd be here. I wonder what hold this place has on you.”He came to stand beside me and lean on the railing. “It’s about the peace I feel when I'm here. It just feels like the calm away from the storm. This place is like the most peaceful place in the house .”The King had to reshuffle his cabinet members and also the Elders
VALFREDWe took Jason back home and took him to my father right away. I didn't want to have a chance at change his story again. “What is this? What is going on, Valfred? Who is this man that is bleeding all over my carpet?”My father was in session with his elders and the Alphas from that day with Jameson in his front. “I apologise for the blood, it was just something we needed to do. But we needed to bring him back here because we did a resweep of the whole thing and I was shocked to see that Jason, one of the guards was running away with a bag full of money. You may ask yourself where the money came from because no one else gave it to him except the ones who made him lie against Roshida.”The funny thing about the whole thing was that they were all in court with my father. All those people that were there that day were here. Of course, Jameson was the first to speak up because he didn't want his secret to be exposed. “My King! What is this?! How can't why bring him like this bef
VALFREDWe were sitting inside the house and we listened to everything that he said. “Are you willing to repeat everything that house said to me in front of the King? You obviously don't think that I will let you go free.”He stood up from the chair and kneelt down. “My Prince, please don't let me appear before the King again. He said he will kill me if I'm not saying the truth. I don't want to die, please.”I placed my hand on his shoulder. “Would you prefer me to kill you? Because if you refuse to tell my father the truth so that your Luna can go free, I will tell him the truth as I have recorded here on my phone and I will track you down and still kill you from lying against her. Do you know what you have done to her? She trusted you and believed that you will set her free. She housed you in her home and treated you like family. And how do you pay her back when she needs you the most? You lie against her.”“They said that they will kill my family! I couldn't let anything happen
