“David!”
I heard a voice that I thought I would never hear again. My gaze rested on Carol, my mate. The one who carried my mark. A small smile curved my lips as I gazed deep into her green orbs. My heart palpitated as our gazes met.
Yes. This girl means the whole world to me now. She was the one who healed my broken heart. She was The one who showed me that I too was worthy of love. I smiled at her.
However, her eyebrows were knitted in a deep frown. I knew she was looking at Hailey.
“Who is that?” she questioned.
I sighed and turned around. Hailey was staring at me with sad eyes. Before I could say anything, she ran up to me and halted right in front of me.
