My hair was locked in a harsh and firm grip as she pulled my head down, neck snapping in hurt. "What's the meaning of this?" I chuckled. This woman always bullied me.

"Don't try to act oblivious! You're spending time with her!" she squealed. Fanning herself with her palm, her grin widened. "I'm so happy."

"That your matchmaking worked, Mother?"

"Yeah," she drawled. Her hands clapped like those of an excited little girl. "I'm the best you can find out there." Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention,but she winked in a suggestive manner but either way, I ignored it. This conversation was odd enough.

Walking around me to the kettle and putting some water to boil, she turned to face me again but kept staring. "You're such a good boy," she sniffed.

I remembered the first time she said that.
