Chapter 5

After the black mist incident happened, we still stayed at Silvermoon for the remainder of the days we planned on staying there, we spent this time training the warriors in case of any future attacks

I began to get a little pissed at the sight of William and Isabella together. I wished we had just left but Lukas insisted that we stayed and trained the wolves like we agreed.

Isabella avoided making any eye contact with me since I arrived here, I didn't want to speak to her anyway because if she says anything that pisses me off I'll smash her face against the wall. 

Me and Lukas just finished a training session with the Silvermoon warriors, we trained them on defense today

“Remember, you always have to protect your face that's the most important thing,” Lukas said to the warriors as we rounded up the training session 

We were about to head back to our apartment when the ground suddenly began to rumble, shortly after the black mist appeared again, this time it came out from the woods and the rumbling ground 

One of the warriors went close to it in an attempt to touch it, Lukas yelled at him “Step away from it!” 

But before he could, it got too close to him and covered him up and he just vanished 

It got everyone on edge as Lukas ran to the front of everyone and ordered them to stay behind him, this is the third time it has appeared this week and I have no idea what it could possibly be but it seems dangerous since someone just vanished 

It continued to draw closer to us causing us to move backward, but at a point, it just vanished into thin air 

Looking at everyone, they had fear written all over their faces including Lukas, I had never seen him like this before, it was terrifying as no one had a clue what this was where it was coming from, and why.

We made our way back to our apartment and met Henry sitting on the couch, he had a worried look on his face

“What's the matter?” I asked him, he let out a heavy sigh before saying

“I just spoke with Alex and the mist also appeared in deepwater and five persons vanished after coming in contact with it,” he said with a frustrated look on his face

Lukas growled out before he sat down with his face down using his fingers to rob his forehead

“What the hell is going on!” He screamed in anger, “calm down boys, I'm sure whatever it is we'll figure it out soon” I said to them 

We all sat in awkward silence for over an hour before Lukas's phone beeped, he pulled it out from his pocket, turned it on, and stared for a few seconds before breaking the silence.

“The lycans are holding a conference tomorrow regarding the issue of the black mist and it's mandatory for all pack leaders to be present,” he says

“It's happening everywhere then” Henry replied to Lukas

“We will be leaving for the conference tomorrow so start packing your bags” 

“First I need to go see my parents,” I say with guilt written on my face because I haven't gone to see them earlier 

I quickly took a shower and dressed to go see my parents, walking there everything seemed the same, except my favorite chocolate store wasn't there anymore 

I got to our house, standing in front of the door, I took a deep breath before knocking on the door,

After a few seconds, the door opened and my mom was standing in front of me 

“M-mom i-am really sorry for…” she cut me off before I could finish with a hug 

“You don't have to explain anything honey, I completely understand,” she says as tears roll down my eyes 

I could hear footsteps coming down the stairs, it was my dad 

“Amelia?” he moans out “I thought we would never see you again princess,” he says as he embraces me and my mom then pecks me on my forehead.

“Come in honey,”  my mom says as we enter and sit at the dining table

“We were just about to have dinner, glad you're here to join us,” she says with a grin as she goes into the kitchen where I follow her like the good old days 

We prepared dinner together and just cut up with some gists, when it was ready the three of us sat together at the dining 

We just enjoyed dinner for a while in silence before my dad broke it

“So ami, how have you been all this while, where did you go?” He asked me with curiosity 

I explained everything to them from how I got rejected by William to how I left and was found by Lukas who took care of me to becoming the alpha warrior and finding my white wolf 

My mom was almost in tears but my dad seemed joyful

“I'm proud of you ami, I always knew you were a strong woman,” he says with a grin while my mom was speechless but I knew she was even more proud of me.

We spoke first while just having fun before I informed them I needed to head back before it got too late because we had a conference. I bid them farewell and promised to come back, before leaving they embraced me in a tight hug and wished me well.

When I got back to our apartment, Lukas and Henry were already sleeping, being tired myself I changed up and joined them. 

The next morning we prepared to leave and I ignored both Isabella and William and waited in the car for them while they spoke to William 

When they were done we left for the conference, when we got there it was in a big ballroom where everyone sat and waited for the Lycan king

The Lycans were the head of all the packs, they gave the orders, they are a much higher breed of wolf with advanced abilities, we waited for twenty minutes before two tall good-looking men walked in making everyone go silent.

The man in front stood out because he was much bigger and taller with well-defined muscles with fitted him perfectly with his black suit that hugged him tightly

When he walked across the ball room, he glanced at me for the first time and I could clearly see his gorgeous piercing blue eyes and perfectly trimmed beard. I'd never seen someone as handsome as he was.

He made his way to the podium 

“Good day everyone, and welcome to this conference meeting, I'm sorry for the delay, forgive me, my name is Sinclair Royal the alpha of the great Lycan kingdom and this is my beta, Adonis,” he said in a firm yet gentle tone

“I know everyone has been worried about the black mist, which is why we called for this meeting, I want you all to know that we are working on finding a solution to this problem and we will not rest until we do. But of course, we can't do it alone which is why we will need assistance from our most trusted pack… the deepwater pack” 

he said then looked at me with a grin this time which made my heart skip.
