THRID PERSON POINT OF VIEW

He moved closer.

Slow, deliberate steps.

Karline’s breath hitched when she felt the wall behind her back, cool against her skin. Reid’s arms came to rest on either side of her, caging her in without touching her, his presence heavy and suffocating.

Her eyes darted up, meeting his. His gaze was sharp, his jaw set tight, anger and something darker swirling behind his eyes.

“Let me go,” she muttered under her breath, her voice trembling but defiant.

He tilted his head slightly, a bitter smirk playing on his lips. “Let you go?”

Her pulse raced, but she glared up at him, refusing to show fear. “Move,!!!”

He didn’t. Instead, he leaned in closer, his voice low and rough near her ear.

“What’s wrong, Karline? You don’t like my closeness anymore?” He paused, his tone laced with cold irony. “It wasn’t like this four years ago… was it?”

Her chest rose and fell sharply. His words cut through the fragile air between them.

She turned her face away, h

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 152

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW "But.. what?" She asked. Reid smirked."Meet me in the afternoon" AFTERNOON That afternoon, Natalie arrived early. Too early. She stood in Reid’s living room with her purse clutched to her chest, posture straight, smile practiced in the mirror of the elevator ride up. When the door opened, she brightened instantly. “Reid,” she said softly. “You wanted to see me?” He stepped aside to let her in, expression unreadable. “Come.” That single word already made her nervous. She followed him inside. James was there too, seated at the dining table with a laptop open, glasses pushed up his nose. He glanced up, took one look at Natalie, and went back to typing like this was a documentary he was only here to narrate later. Reid didn’t waste time. “If you’re going to be my wife,” he said calmly, sitting down across from James, “you need to start acting like one.” Natalie’s smile froze for half a second. “I..of course.” “You haven’t taken care of a single

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 160

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Morning sunlight spilled generously through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Reid’s apartment, painting the marble kitchen in warm gold. The smell of freshly brewed coffee hung in the air, sharp and comforting. James was already there. He stood at the kitchen island, sleeves rolled up, calmly buttering toast like he owned the place, which, in a way, he practically did. A tablet rested beside him, flashing through reports as if this were just another boardroom and not Reid’s private kitchen. Reid leaned against the counter opposite him, skimming something on his phone, relaxed, quiet. The front door clicked open. Natalie stepped in, dressed in soft pastel tones, effortlessly curated to look “natural.” Her hair fell in loose waves, makeup minimal but strategic. She paused the moment she saw James. Her smile froze. Just for half a second. Then it bloomed again, wide and sweet, almost painfully so. “Oh,” she said lightly. “Good morning.”

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 150

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW The apartment was unusually tense.Margaret sat on the velvet armchair near the fireplace, spine straight, fingers wrapped tightly around a porcelain teacup she hadn’t touched. Her eyes were fixed on Natalie, who was perched on the edge of the sofa, phone pressed to her hands, posture carefully delicate, as if the right angle of vulnerability might earn sympathy.Around them, Natalie’s friends hovered awkwardly. They tried to look busy, uninterested, but their eyes darted constantly between Margaret and Natalie, soaking in every second of the drama they hadn’t anticipated when they came for shopping and luxury.James stood near the window, arms crossed, face unreadable. Reid leaned against the desk, one hand in his pocket, expression calm, too calm.Natalie sniffed softly into the phone.“Reid…” she said, voice trembling just enough. “I don’t understand how this could happen. Today was supposed to be… nice.”Reid’s voice came through steady, controlled. “N

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 149

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Margaret Carter arrived like she always did, unhurried, composed, wrapped in elegance so practiced it looked effortless. The murmurs around the billing counter quieted the moment people noticed her. Wealth recognized wealth. Her sharp eyes took in the scene in a single sweep:the halted billing, the staff standing awkwardly, the mountain of luxury items now being pulled back, and Natalie, stiff, flushed, trying desperately to keep her smile intact.Margaret’s lips curved, soft and reassuring on the surface, as she stepped beside Natalie.“What seems to be the issue, dear?” she asked sweetly, though her fingers closed around Natalie’s wrist with a warning squeeze.Natalie leaned closer, voice trembling despite her effort to sound calm. “M-Mrs. Carter…I mean mu.. mother the card isn’t working. I don’t know why.”Margaret’s smile didn’t falter. Her eyes, however, hardened. She turned to the cashier. “There must be a mistake.”The cashier straightened nervousl

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 148

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW After enjoying the entire drama from beginning to end, every raised voice, every dropped shopping bag, every second of confused panic, Karline felt deeply, profoundly satisfied. Not smug. Not cruel.Just… fulfilled. It was the quiet kind of satisfaction, the kind that settled neatly in her chest and stayed there. No rush. No gloating. Just the calm certainty that things had unfolded exactly as they should have. She adjusted her grip on her purse and stepped into the parking lot, posture straight, shoulders relaxed. Her heels clicked softly against the asphalt, the sound steady and precise—tap… tap… tap—each step measured, unhurried, deliberate. It wasn’t haste guiding her forward; it was control.Behind her, Natalie and her friends were still absolutely convinced Reid had vanished..poof ..disappeared into thin air after leaving emotional wreckage in his wake.Karline knew better.Near the mall exit, Natalie and her group hovered in a loose, awkward cluster,

  • Rejected by my Husband   Chapter 147

THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW Natalie’s hands trembled as she shoved the black card back into her clutch. The cashier hovered politely. Her friends exchanged uncomfortable glances, whispers curling through the air like smoke."Pick up the call reid please,” Natalie muttered under her breath, voice tight. She fumbled for her phone, dialing Reid’s number again. No answer. She exhaled sharply and then hesitated. Then, desperately, she pressed Reid’s mother’s contact. “Margaret Carter,” she murmured, trying to steady her voice. Maybe his mother could help. Maybe she could. The call went straight to voicemail.Natalie froze. Her fingers hovered over the screen, nails digging into her palm.“Hello? Nat? What’s going on?” one of her friends whispered, leaning closer.“I… I just… she’s busy,” Natalie said, forcing a laugh that sounded brittle even to her own ears.“Busy?” the friend repeated, raising an eyebrow. “Busy? Or… not picking up because she doesn’t want to?”Natalie’s stomach tightened
