Marcus’s POV

Elena.

I finally remembered. She was a friend who wanted to be more than one. Besides, she wanted more power which was why she decided to involve in dark magic and not nature's own.

“We're almost there,” Alex said, interrupting my thoughts.

I had no patience for witches. Their sly smiles and their audacity to act as though they stood above everyone else always rubbed me the wrong way.

But tonight, I had no choice. If Elena could help me find Emily, then I would endure her presence, no matter how much it irritated me.

Alex trailed silently behind me as we approached the little wood house hidden deep in the woods. Its windows glowed faintly with candlelight, and the air reeked of incense and dried herbs.

I clenched my jaw, the piece of Emily’s cloth balled tightly in my fist. The moment I saw that house, anger burned in my chest. It was ridiculous that I had to come to a witch for answers. It should have been my men bringing me news, not this.

Elena opened the door before

Emily’s POVThe chamber was completely silent. Every council member stared at Lilith as if she had just spoken the most blasphemous words imaginable. I couldn’t breathe. My lips parted, but no sound came out. Lilith’s voice was extremely calm, defiant still echoed in my ears. I can't believe how she managed to stay calm in a situation like this.“ I helped her escape,” she said it again. The entire room froze. Disbelief crossed the faces of the gathered elders, their sharp eyes darting from her to me, then back again.I wanted to scream why, why would she take the blame, why would she put herself in danger for me? But fear clamped down on my throat. I couldn’t even look directly at Renon. I was terrified of what he would do to her.Renon rose from his seat slowly, the sound of his chair scraping against the stone floor. His tall frame loomed over everyone, fury. I felt myself shrinking into my chains. I thought this was the end for Lilith. Those merciless and glowing eyes narrowed at

Marcus’ POVThe moment I stepped back into the pack house, I felt the weight of everything I had left behind pressing down on me again. I climbed the staircase slowly, dragging my thoughts with me, each step reminding me that I had unfinished business. My hand pushed open the door to my room, and I froze. The space was not how I had left it. Candles flickered from every corner, casting shadows that danced across the walls, and rose petals were scattered across the floor and bed as if someone had staged a scene from a romance story. My brows furrowed, but the sound of a soft giggle drew my attention to the bed.Beth.She lay sprawled across the sheets, her body draped in nothing but a thin silk fabric that barely covered her curves. Her lips curled into a teasing smile as she stretched her hand toward me.“Finally, you’re back,” she purred, her voice dripping with seduction. “I’ve been waiting for you.”I clenched my jaw, conflicted. My body reacted instinctively to the sight of her,

  • Rejected by the Alpha king    CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Emily’s POVThe forest air was heavy in my lungs, I could hardly breathe. My legs trembled from exhaustion, I had been running for what felt like hours, every step fueled by the desperate hope of freedom. Then I froze. From the shadows, a low growl rumbled through the stillness, vibrating through the earth beneath me. My blood ran cold. I turned slowly, dread clawing up my spine, and there it was, glowing eyes, piercing straight into me. My body locked in fear. My escape attempt… it was over.I expected claws, teeth, and pain. Instead, what I saw made my stomach lurch. The wolf stopped a few feet away, its body quivering as bones shifted and cracked. My eyes widened in horror and disbelief as the beast began to transform. Fur receded, limbs twisted, the monstrous snout shrinking back into human features. I stumbled back, shielding my face with my hands until the process was complete. When I dared to look, a man stood before me, he was tall, broad-shouldered, his dark hair matted fr

Emily’s POVThe days blurred together, an endless stretch of silence broken only by the sound of footsteps outside my door. No one came to see me, not the Alpha that had me captured, not any guard, not even a curious stranger. The only one who entered was Lilith. She was very consistent but weird. Three times a day, the door creaked open, and she appeared with a tray in her hands. Her dark eyes watched me carefully as she placed the food down and waited, saying little before she slipped away again. At first, I thought nothing of it. But as the days passed, I began to notice something strange. The heaviness in my body was lifting, slowly but surely. The fog in my mind was fading. My limbs no longer trembled the way they had when I first woke from the wolfsbane’s poison. Then it struck me.The bitter taste was gone. For days, she hadn’t given me wolfsbane.Suspicion gnawed at me until I couldn’t hold it in anymore. The next time she came in, I moved before she could leave. I was wea

Marcus’s POV“ What do you know about Emily?” I asked“ I don't understand. Marcus…not today,” she held her hand in my face.“How do you know her?”The question came out sharper than I intended, my voice echoing off the stone walls of the chamber. My chest tightened as I stared at Beth, every muscle in my body tensed for her answer. She leaned back against the edge of the bath like she had nothing to hide, but the flicker of discomfort in her eyes betrayed her.“I don’t know what you mean,” she said lightly, though her smile didn’t reach her eyes.“Don’t lie to me, Beth. I know you're well aware of what I'm talking about,” My tone was low, dangerous. “You said Emily’s name. You knew who I was talking about. How?”She shifted, her body language betraying the confidence she tried to show. “Marcus, relax. I only meant what everyone else has been whispering. You think people don’t talk about the Alpha’s sudden little obsession with that Omega? You’ve made it obvious.”Her words stung, bu
