로그인I, Marcus Danielson, Alpha King, reject you as my mate." Those words broke me. I’ve been an omega my whole life—the weakest in the pack, an orphan no one wanted. I should have been invisible that night at the Alpha-Luna Ball. But then I met him. My mate. My king. For one heartbeat, I thought fate had finally chosen me. And then he destroyed me. I ran into the forest to escape the pain, but I couldn’t outrun what was inside me. Fire. Ice. Power I didn’t understand, power that shouldn’t exist. Now rogues hunt me, calling me the witchy wolf, while the Alpha King who cast me aside refuses to let me go. I don’t know if I’m meant to be his Luna… or the weapon that burns his world to ashes.

Don’t be scared, you can do it!Don’t be scared, you can do it!This is the matrix I repeated to myself to keep myself from running out of the hall. I had been selected as one of the maids that would be serving during this year's ball, normally I would be in the kitchen serving but this year was different. I was serving the Alphas and Luna at this ball.As an omega I was extremely frightened, the aura of an alpha is really powerful. Their wolf can’t be compared to the wolf of omega which made my wolf submit to every alpha, especially the alpha of my pack.I continued serving and taking orders from the Luna’s and alpha’s trying so hard not to spill or break anything cause I don't want to get in trouble with my alpha. The last ball that happened I heard of a girl last year that was slapped by an alpha because she spilled wine on his garment. I've also heard other stories of other omegas who made little mistakes and were punished. After serving the alphas and lunas who ordered, I stood behind the bar cleaning the bar tables and setting cups just in case of any more orders. As I cleaned the table I tried to keep my wolf at bay. She has been awfully sad for the past week and I don't blame her for the past two weeks we’ve not gone out for a run because of the preparation of the ball. This is the 15th ball ceremony I was attending. I joined the Lunar moon park but this time around it is quite different. In all the balls the alpha king never attended, people said things about him being out of town and not liking ceremonies like this but surprisingly this time he decided to attend. The ball was held as a yearly celebration for all the alpha and luna to celebrate; it has been in existence since the Werewolves were at peace with the rogues. Even if I believe the rogues still exist, I heard from other pack members that there was now an alliance between the werewolves and the rogues. The rogues are also werewolves like us but are either banished from their pack for some reason or people who lost their mate and couldn’t bear the pain so they left their pack to be alone. From stories I heard the trouble started when the rogues would show up in the territory of other pack members and then would be killed when the group rogues saw that they started killing other pack members and attacking different packs until they had a meeting to settle it all. My parents were also killed by a rogue. I never knew my parents. My alpha only once told me he saw me on his way back from a meeting with another pack and I was laying on the floor when he picked me up as a child. I had more questions to ask but was scared to ask him and I doubt he would have answers to my questions. I wish to find out about my parents and the way to do that was to get a mate. Being in the Lunar Moon pack for 21 years I was certain my mates weren’t part of the pack and I pray to the moon goddess he comes my way very soon and hope I don't get rejected by him because of my status. I continued setting cups and the wines on the table to act busy so I won't be sent out to deliver or to receive orders but then I guess my plan didn't work out as the head of the omega called me out to bring in more wines from the back.I bowed my head as I passed through the crowd, as an omega I was tiny so walking in a room filled with alpha felt like I was walking in a room filled up with giants.I took a deep breath as I left the hall, taking in the new fresh air and enjoying the little bit of calmness for a little while before I had to go back to the hall. Letting the cold breeze hit my skin and the smell of the woods calm my wolf down I rested my head on the wall while looking at the moon. This was just the perfect weather to let my wolf out for a run but it wasn't the right time. It was a full moon which means after the ball all the alpha would let their wolf out for a run together. It was a joyous and scary moment, hearing the howls of your alpha brought joy but seeing all the alphas together was the scary part, even if they didn't mean to scare us they still did.I stood up ready to leave and pick up the wines so I wouldn't get in trouble with the head. I turned round the building heading towards the storehouse but stopped right at the front as I heard a voice beside the building.Distracted by the smell, I followed the scent that filled the air, leading me to the most handsome man in the world. He had black hair that stopped mid-length. I looked at his crystal blue eyes and suddenly felt like the world stopped spinning, it felt as if we were the only two people on earth."Mate," I said as my wolf growled with full possession.I couldn't believe I'd found my mate. But taking one good look at him I noticed something else: he's an alpha." You're an Omega," he said as he squeezed with disgust.I bowed my head while muttering yes. Waiting for the next thing to come a drop of tears dropped from my eyes." I don't have time for all this, I'm the alpha king and I can't afford to have an Omega as the queen. I, Marcus Danielson, Alpha king, reject you as my mate. " Never had I experienced such pain before but with little courage I looked up into his eyes still finding it hard to believe I'd been rejected. He pushed me and started walking but stopped midway."Don't utter any word to anybody about being my mate" He said before he continued walking leaving me in pain.Standing up I ignored the pain in my leg. I walked deep into the woods with tears flowing from my eyes. I let my wolf full control with four paws touching the ground. I dash into the forest, howling like never before.Emily’s POVThe clock struck midnight. Not a servant, not Lilith, not even a whisper of attention. Hunger gnawed at my stomach, thirst clung like fire to my throat, but the thought of Renon and the nightmare that awaited me filled me with rage.I could not marry him. I would rather die than let him claim me in that way, let him cage me with promises I despised. My mind raced, desperate, planning. If no one would help me, then I would escape myself. The silver chains bit into my wrists, cold and heavy, but not enchanted. They were ordinary, yet I knew I could not wait for magic to save me. I forced every ounce of the power I had left. Pain lanced through my arms, veins threatening to burst, but I refused to falter. The chains trembled, then snapped, the links splintering as if they had been paper. I fell to my knees, gasping, but free. The door, as if sensing my determination, swung open quietly. A miracle or perhaps just negligence but the two guards stationed there were slumped agai
Marcus’s POVThe cold wind lashed against my face as I rode north, the steady pounding of hooves beneath me echoing the restlessness in my chest.I had no time to lose. Every second that ticked by, Emily slipped further and further from my reach. Elena had told me she was taken somewhere near the river bend, but as I pushed my horse harder in that direction, dread began to coil in my stomach. When I finally arrived, my eyes swept over the area, trees stretching tall, the steady trickle of the river breaking the silence but nothing else. No scent of a rogue pack lingering in the woods. No overturned leaves or broken twigs to suggest a struggle. Not even a shred of fabric or footprints. Just emptiness.I clenched my jaw, frustration and helplessness burning through me. My hands tightened on the reins, my wolf pacing beneath my skin. Where are you, Emily?I dismounted, stalking the riverbank, searching for anything, any sign that she had truly been here. It was as if she had been swall
Emily’s POVThe dim glow of the chamber candles flickered against the stone walls. My thoughts had been restless after what I did to Renon.Sitting across from Elara, the powerful witch with her striking red hair and piercing emerald eyes, I finally found the courage to voice what had been haunting me.“I keep having these dreams,” I whispered, my voice raw, uncertain. “But they don’t feel like dreams. They feel… real, like they mean something.”Elara arched a brow, motioning for me to continue.“There’s this old woman,” I said, my hands twisting nervously in my lap. “I never see her fully, but I know she’s there. And her eyes… They're violet. Just like mine.” I hesitated, chewing on my lip. “She always feels familiar, like she’s a part of me, but I can’t explain why.”Elara didn’t interrupt. Her gaze held steady, patient, as if she already knew more than she would admit.“And then there’s the bat,” I continued, shuddering at the memory. “It came to me in one of my dreams. I killed it
Marcus’s POVBeth’s eyes bored into mine, sharp and searching, but I had no patience left for her. My chest still ached, my body fragile from what Elaria had told me, and my thoughts were already tangled with guilt I couldn’t shake.“What do you want, Beth?” I asked, my voice low, weary, but firm. “I don’t want to see you right now.”She flinched at the edge in my tone, but quickly masked it with that familiar softness she often wielded when she wanted to bend my will. “Marcus,” she said, taking a careful step forward, “I came to apologize.”I narrowed my eyes.“For what?” I asked flatly. Her lips pressed together before she sighed. “For what I did during the council meeting. I shouldn’t have spoken against you like that. It wasn’t my place.”The apology should have meant something, but it felt rehearsed. My silence lingered between us, heavy and uncomfortable. She was waiting for me to acknowledge it, to forgive her, but I refused to give her that satisfaction. When the silence stret
