I did not know how to fix this. “I do not know what to say,” I reply honestly. Elizabeth looks at me with nothing in her eyes. No recognition, no heat, no passion. Nothing. “So, you are saying that you could still reject me and take her as your chosen mate?” she says in shock.

“No, I will not,” I say vehemently. “But you aren’t sure, are you?” she asks knowingly. “Because if you do not do as they say, you will lose your Pack,” she adds.
