Elizabeth POV I could not believe it. Carter had betrayed me. He talked to Tamara before talking to me. She was not a psychologist. She would not know how to help me. Alpha Carter POV That was a tough discussion I had with Elizabeth. I could not share everything with her. The reality is if I take another as my Luna, then Elizabeth will inevitably become a mate to have pups with. Elizabeth POV The interview had been gruelling. We spent hours discussing everything that had happened since I had been taken into the Pack house. I could tell Carter and his wolf were very upset, but I ignored them trying to get the Council members to finish the interview. Elizabeth POV I was sure I was glowing; I had been overwhelmed with the response to Carter announcing me as his mate. Many had come over to welcome me to the Pack, which surprised me. Going from an Omega slave to being treated like a human being was difficult for me to comprehend. I still had my reservations, but for today, I was going to embrace this new day. After supper, we hung out in the lounge with Stan and Kinsley. Tamara had been invited but she excused herself quickly, wanting to get back to her patients. We decided to watch a movie. Elizabeth POV Carter’s hand continues to roam down my flat stomach. He lifts my leg out of the water and rests it on the edge of the tub. I cannot understand why until he moves the cloth intimately between my legs. I tense up, “Relax, sweet mate,” Carter murmurs as he continues to wash me. He is gentle, focusing on cleaning the entire area. Before I realize it, it is only Carter’s fingers on me. The cloth is floating away. He is exploring my most personal area and all I can do is gasp for air. I know I am feeling so many emotions. I do not know what is normal, but I am feeling very warm. “Do you like that, little mate?” he asks me. I open my legs a little wider, moaning, “Yes, I want more,” I reply. He is satisfied with the response as his hand slowly leaves my body. He begins to rinse the soap off me before giving himself a quick wash. I want to help him, but he shakes his head, “This is about you, sweetheart,” he says with a smile.

For those who may have read Chapter 29 already, you do not need to reload - nothing changed in the chapter. Just a system glitch. Chapters 30 and 31 are ready to be uploaded - I should be able to upload tomorrow morning. I do not want the chapters to get messed up. Nor do I want you to pay for a Chapter you already purchased. Alpha Carter POV My mate was so responsive to my touch. I knew our bond and the sparks between us contributed to that, but I could feel we were growing as a couple. My mate was growing.
