Chapter 5: Demeanour

"Assume I have kids with another when all I do was banging you"

Stretching her arms wide in the morning she felt Clyde tugging her pajamas fabric. She kisses him on the head then sat down behind the island counter near baby Holly.

She peck her on the cheek then poke at her tummy playfully while she giggle in return. She plays with her while awaiting their breakfast cook by the shirtless Cameron who is busying himself with the pans in his hand.

"Honey"

Laura, Cameron's fiancée and also Holly's mom step inside the kitchen with a shirt only above her knees. She wrap her arms around him then kisses his neck, they started to make out

"now you two keep it PG your kids are watching"

Daniella complain making them both giggle like high schoolers.

Laura and Cameron met three years ago. They were second chance mates yet Cameron was unsure as he still loves and have respect for his first mate, her sister and his son. Indeed, Daniella gave him her blessing to move on with his life and to love again. She has also reassure him that her sister would have want it too.

After a year Laura got pregnant with a baby girl and in honouring of her sister's memories Laura insisted to name her after Holly, Daniella's sister. Sometimes Daniella would see some part of her sister's character in Holly.

"So how did it go last night" Laura ask

"don't get me start on it" she groans puffing her cheeks like a child.

"Ooookay... So any plans for today?" Laura put a plate of food in front of her.

"I'm on leave today and I want to take my favourite kids to the park," Laura winces at her.

"What?"

"Are you sure you want to take two kids out. Trust me Clyde can be a little demanding and Holly... Don't fall for her baby eyes darling... I'm warning you" they all laugh.

"You forgot I'm a werewolf version of wonder woman" she took a bite of her food wiggling her eyebrow at her.

"Whatever, but cool it will give us-"

"time to make another mini Laura or Cam" Daniella cut her off.

Laura patted her eyes "no we're not."

"Well denial is a confirmation of it" she teases them and went up to get ready after eating breakfast.

Sometime afterwards when the kids are both dressed and ready to go Daniella settled them in their car seats and drove off to the park.

They spent almost their whole day at the park, many people mistook Clyde and Holly as her children. She didn't bother to correct them either.

When it was time to go home, she pack their stuff in the car and pick up Holly holding her to her hip before she held on to Clyde's hand.

There was a pack of hots male wolves coming in their direction heading to their cars. She tries to avoid running in to them unfortunately their luxury audio A8, Range rover, Mercedes S-Class, Bentley Bentagya and a black Bugatti La Voiture Noire overshadows her old Nissan Versa Note.

The sight of it dispirits her but she put on the I don't care attitude and walk to her car with the kids.

She got nearer and his scent hit her nostrils 'it can't be' she told herself while holding the kids close to her.

Praying that it wasn't him

"you have kids"

she heard a loud growl.

Clyde hid behind her leg tugging on her dress while Holly pushed her head in her chest. She turn to find him near the bugatti. His beta and the older version of his beta except the eyes stood by. His hands was around a brunette with the others looking at their way.

Last night was not good and today he just have to show up and ruin it again for her. What's worst was he is growling at her 'why would he?' she thought.

"Yeah got a problem with that Alpha"

She jumps when he smash the bugatti window with his fist. She didn't expect him to react in such ways

"who's the father?"

The onlookers stood by she started to get scared because of the kids.

"They are yours of course, don't you remember banging me" he growls at her. Her heart racing in panic, she didn't think he would take her words seriously. She was hoping he would get the hint but he doesn't.

He started to move forward with his fist tight. She held on to the kids tightly taking a step back, hoping for anyone to help them.

"Mommy"

Thanks moon goddess she silently pray as Clyde runs to Laura and Cameron who have parked their car on the other side of the road and walk towards them. Laura hug him tightly "aww my sweet mento"

"Alpha Hernandez"

Cameron came behind Laura and took Holly from Daniella.

"Is everything alright here?" Dante nod his head to the others

"no I'm just glad to meet an old friend" he gestures to her.

"Well it's been a long time and since you guys are old friends, then why not join us tonight for dinner" she groan at Cameron's invitation.

"Ella don't hurt your friend's feelings," Cameron still doesn't get her infatuation over the Alpha.

"Besides he's also an old friend of mine, don't you remember those times Dante"

Daniella was confused at how Cam came to know the Alpha. Still she prays again to the moon goddess not to let him come but he just crash her hopes again when he opens that mouth of his.

The same mouth that rejects her

"of course I would love it" he happily replies to Cameron. All his mean and evil demeanour was gone. 'Great' she mumbles while getting in her car to go home prepared for the dinner.
