Prince Aldric watched Thalia's dumbfounded face with a raised eyebrow. She seemed flustered, but for some reason, he could tell she wasn't putting on an act. He made his decision there and then.

He'll keep her in the palace instead of in prison as his right-hand man would prefer. She would be under surveillance by guards just in case his intuition was wrong and she was a threat or danger to him.
