“ Don't sneak up on people like that!” I yelled in shock but he simply narrowed his eyes at me as something familiar danced in them.

“ Who was that?” He asked, ignoring my words.

“ A friend I met at the beach.” I bluntly said and was about to leave but he simply stood in front of me with a frown.

“ And he came looking for you?”

“ What's wrong with that? We're just friends, okay?” I assured him but unfortunately he wasn't convinced.

“ But friends don't look at friends that way.” He added and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.
