Miracle's POV

I could see the frustration written all over Arielle's face as we sat at the edge of the dance floor, watching the guests twirl and sway to the beat. Her arms were crossed over her chest, and she kept shifting in her seat, unable to fully relax.

"I don't get it," she grumbled, taking a sip from her glass of wine. "I'm eighteen, not five."

I sighed and turned to face her. "I don't care about your age. I'm your cousin and I know what's best for you. That guy, Leonel's brother, is not good."

Arielle rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah? And how do you know that? Why don't you just let me find out for myself?"

"You'd better behave," I warned her, frowning. "I don't want any trouble at this party."
