Thirty Eight

Leonel's POV

That weekend, I went to a basketball game with Mimi, Arielle, Leana and my friends, Alec and Bart, along with their girlfriends. A rush of excitement washed over me.

The air was filled with the roar of the crowd. I took my place on the bleachers, grabbing a seat next to Alec. As I watched the players warm up, I felt twinge of envy. I've always loved basketball and had a natural talent for it, but life took me in a different direction.

As the game started, the energy in the court skyrocketed. The players were going all out, and the crowd was on their feet, cheering loudly. I jumped up, cheering alongside my friends every time our team scored. It was electric, and I felt completely alive in the moment.

Every now and then, I'd look over at Mimi and Leana, and they were both beaming with excitement. Arielle was cheering so loudly I thought she might lose her voice. And Bart, well, he was just Bart, always pumped up and ready for action.
