It had been a thirty-minute ride, thanks to the traffic, but it wasn't long enough to keep Beatrice quiet. Hell, even with the loud music, the woman had been a nuisance that the alpha would probably never think twice before dropping off at some ditch and forgetting about.

She had been complaining the whole ride, but no one had been listening to her. Maybe it was a good thing they had come to the collective decision to ignore her till she got a hold of her missing mannerisms. The woman was a real pain, dammit.

If anything, the only reason Gemma hadn't made a run for it and gone back to her life was that she wanted to make sure Sandra was safe. It was the only reason she had come along.
